As the assembly elections for five states begin with Chhattisgarh and Mizoram voting today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged voters to turn out in strength. Nearly, 40,78,681 voters will cast their vote in Chhattisgarh, while 8,50,288 electors will vote in Mizoram. 

Taking to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote that he calls upon the people of Mizoram to vote in record numbers. He added that he particularly urges the young and the first time voters to exercise their franchise and strengthen the festival of democracy. 

In another successive tweet in Hindi, Prime Minister Modi wrote that today is the day of the sacred festival of democracy in Chhattisgarh. He requested all the voters of the first phase of assembly elections to cast their vote and become participants of the festival. He also congratulated all his young friends from the state who voted for the first time.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took to X, formerly Twitter and appealed all the voters of the first phase of Chhattisgarh to vote in maximum numbers to elect a government that is dedicated to the welfare of the tribal society, farmers, poor and youth by ending the rule of corruption and scams from the state. He added that voters’ valuable votes will create a bright future for Chhattisgarh.

In another tweet, the Union Home Minister wrote that he urges all his sisters and brothers in Mizoram, especially the youth to come out and vote in large numbers. Amit Shah mentioned that each and every vote will lay the foundation of a developed and prosperous Mizoram. Earlier, Narendra Modi said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is committed to create a marvellous Mizoram and the people of the state are like his family members.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari reacts to AAP-Congress Alliance, reminds CM Kejriwal of his 2012 jail promise

AAP and Congress announced an alliance in Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Goa, and Chandigarh on Saturday.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Saturday reminded Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal of his promise of sending leaders of Congress Party to jail. This comes after the announcement of the AAP and Congress’ seat sharing deal for upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Delhi.

Using the metaphor chor chor mausere bhai which translates in English, birds of a feather flock together, Tiwari said, this is what it is happening between AAP and Congress. He alleged that AAP workers are disappointed with CM Kejriwal as the used to speak about putting Congress leaders in jail but now he is at their feet.

AAP was formed after Arvind Kejriwal launched anti-corruption protests in Delhi. At that time congress was in power in both Delhi and the Centre.

Later when the party was formed in 2012, Arvind Kejriwal said that he would put corrupt leaders in jail within six months of coming to power.

Tiwari said that Arvind Kejriwal and AAP had ousted Congress from Delhi and Punjab and now the Chief Minister is sharing the stage with Rahul Gandhi.

He also said BJP and Prime Minister Modi are in everyone’s heart and the people of Delhi will decide everything as it is clear now that the top leaders of AAP and Congress are the same.

Meanwhile, AAP leader Atishi said that CM Kejriwal can be arrested soon. She alleged that ever since the INDIA bloc seat sharing was nearly finalised, Kejriwal started getting threats from everwhere. She also mentioned that the party members were told if they didn’t exit the alliance, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) would frame charges against Arvind Kejriwal to arrest him.

She claimed that the party had the information that the CBI would issue a notice on Monday and would arrest CM Kejriwal in a few days.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Saturday took out the final leg of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra In Uttar Pradesh’s Moradabad. Congress said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra  will accompany Rahul Gandhi as the yatra passes through Amroha, Sambhal, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Hathras, Agra and will conclude at Fatehpur Sikri on Sunday.

Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were seen waving to people from an open jeep. People raised slogans such as Rahul Gandhi Zindabad, Priyanka Gandhi zindabad and Congress party zindabad as the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra passed through different areas of Moradabad. The padyatra started from Jama Masjid Chauraha in Moradabad to Sambhal Chauraha.

Gandhi slammed BJP government and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi tells people that India belongs to everyone. Gandhi said 50% people in the country are backward, 15% minorities, 15% Dalit and 8% Adivasi. He wanted to ask about the participation of 90% of India’s population. He said none of these people are represented in the media. He said the common man of India can be seen in the list of MGNREGA but not in the big companies, the high court and the media.

Gandhi said PM Modi says Hindostan sabka hai. He asked ye sabka kaise hai? If 90% are not getting any participation. Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi slammed the Uttar Pradesh government over paper leaks and said 28 lakh students wrote the exam for UP Police but the exam was leaked. She said the unemployment rates have increased after the formation of BJP government in Uttar Pradesh and at the Centre.

NCP (SCP) launches its party’s new symbol ‘man blowing tura’ in presence of Sharad Pawar

Pawar said to establish a people’s government, they need to struggle and hence have to strengthen the trumpet symbol. He said it is an inspiration to launch a new struggle for people’s welfare and a government which works for their upliftment.

NCP (SCP) launched its party’s new symbol ‘man blowing tura’ in presence of party Sharad Pawar at the Raigad fort on Saturday. The NCP (SCP) chief said he sought the support of the party workers in bringing a government that works for the welfare and progress of the common man. He added the trumpet will bring happiness to the people.

Pawar said to establish a people’s government, they need to struggle and hence have to strengthen the trumpet symbol. He said it is an inspiration to launch a new struggle for people’s welfare and a government which works for their upliftment.

Maharashtra NCP chief Jayant Patil said the trumpet is a symbol of bravery, victory and inspiration to fight. He said they are seeking the blessings from Chatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj from the fort where his coronation was performed and the place where he spent the last days of his life and where his Samadhi is situated.

The symbol was allotted to the party by the Election Commision of India on Thursday. The trumpet refers to tutari in Marathi and is sounded to mark the entry of important persons. The NCP(SCP) took to X and wrote the Tutari in the form of great valour of Chhatrapathi Shivaji Maharaj had once deafened the emperor of Delhi. He said it is a great honour for his party to get Tutari (Man Blowing Turha) as the symbol for the upcoming elections.

He said Tutari is now ready to shake Delhi’s throne under the leadership of Sharadchandra Pawar. He quoted lines from popular poem Tutari written by Jnanpith awardee Kusumagraj. The NCP which was founded by Sharad Pawar, split in July when Ajit Pawar and eight MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde government. The election commission assigned the party name and clock symbol to Ajit Pawar’s faction.
