Manish Sisodia demands vaccination of class 12 students, says exams without vaccinating students a big mistake
He suggested that the central government’s priority should be vaccination because 95% of Class 12 students above the age of 17.5 years, however the Centre should talk to experts if they can be given Covishield and Covaxin.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday demanded the Centre to vaccinate class 12 students before holding exams. He made the suggestion at the high-level meeting called by the Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to discuss the conduct of the CBSE, ICSE Class 12 Board exams and entrance examinations for JEE Main and NEET 2021. The meeting–chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh– began at 11:30 am and concluded at around 2 pm on Sunday.
Attending the meeting, Sisodia said the stubbornness of organizing the examination by playing with the safety of the children will prove to be a big mistake and a failure.
Taking to Twitter, Sisodia said that he demanded vaccination for the students studying in class 12 before they sit for their exams. In his tweet, he said conducting class 12 board exams before vaccinating students will prove to be a big mistake and failure. Sisodia said that the Centre should focus on vaccinating class 12 students and teachers across the country.
He suggested that the central government’s priority should be vaccination because 95% of Class 12 students above the age of 17.5 years, however the Centre should talk to experts if they can be given Covishield and Covaxin.
The central government should either talk to Pfizer and arrange vaccines for 1.4 crore students and almost the same number of teachers across the country. If the young-aged vaccine can be given to 17.5-year-olds following the advice of health experts, then Covishield and Covaxin, available in the country, should first be applied to all children of 12th class and all teachers, he said.
Sisodia had on Saturday in interaction with principals and students said that he agrees to the demand for cancelation of board exams. A large section of students and teachers have been demanding the cancelation of board exams. Sisodia had further sought suggestions on alternatives to put forth to CBSE.
Demand for vaccination has been intensifying among young adults, pre-teens, and kids and the countries like the United States, Canada, and now Singapore have approved vaccinations for children.

Amritpal Singh may be headed to Delhi: Reports

Fugitive Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh may be headed for Delhi, a day after his last known location was traced to Haryana, reports quoting sources have claimed.
An NDTV report quoting sources said the security has been heightened across the national capital as its suspected that the notorious ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief may be headed to Delhi after last being spotted in Shahabad in Haryana’s Kurukshetra.
On Sunday, Amritpal Singh and his associate Papalpreet Singh, had stayed at Shahabad home of a woman identified as Baljeet Kaur, who was arrested yesterday, Punjab Police said.
A video with a time stamp of Monday, doing the rounds on the internet yesterday showed the fugitive Sikh preacher dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans, trying to hide his face with an umbrella as he was departing from the Baljeet Kaur’s house in Shahabad.
On Thursday, the Punjab Police arrested Amritpal Singh’s former gunman and notorious associate, Tejinder Singh aka Gorkha Baba.
A report quoted DSP Payal Harsimrat Singh of the Punjab Police as saying that Tejinder Singh, a resident of Punjab’s Mangewal village, was nabbed by the Khanna police.
DSP Harsimrat said Tejinder, who was a gunman for Amritpal Singh for a long period and often lived with the Waris Punjab De chief, is also involved in the Ajnala case. The officer said that Tejinder, also known as Gorkha Baba, was very active on social media and often posts pictures of himself brandishing different weapons due to which he’s wanted in a separate case registered against him at Malaud police station.
The official further said that Tejinder has been booked under sections 107/151 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and two other aides who accompanied him, have also been taken into custody and are being questioned.
A nation-wide crackdown was launched to nab Amritpal Singh after last month, the dreaded Khalistani leader and his supporters armed with swords and guns, stormed a police station in Ajnala on the outskirts of Amritsar city and clashed with police for the release of one of his aides Lovepreet Singh.
