Ahead of the second phase of the Gujarat Assembly Election, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged people to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that it has put an end to years of rioting and curfews in Gujarat, just as it has in his state, which is now free of riots, curfews, and powerful mafias who have been bulldozed.

Waghodia Assembly is seeing two independent candidates: six-term MLA Madhu Shrivastava and former party leader Dharmendrasinh Waghela. While campaigning in the Waghodia Assembly constituency of Vadodara in Gujarat, Yogi also urged people to vote for the BJP, stating that it is not the independents but a party that forms government.

Yogi also took a dig at the Congress, stating that it supported terrorism while Narendra Modi’s leadership had made the country free of terror and Naxalism.

He said Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are opportunists who question everything. Only the BJP can do this because of the motto to keep the nation first. BJP is the remedy for all ills, he added.

The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh also criticized Congress for obstructing the country’s religious beliefs, asking, How should faith be revered? Ram Mandir is always being obstructed by Congress, but it is Modi who is laying the foundation. He claimed that the AAP and Congress had played with people’s emotions, religious convictions, and national security.

He stated when former President Rajendra Prasad wanted to join the inauguration of the massive temple, the Congress came in the way. Now, the Ram Mandir is getting ready in Ayodhya, there is the Kashi corridor, the Ujjain Mahakal, the renovation of Dwarkadish, and also the renovation of Kedarnath and Badrinath. This is how the religious beliefs of the new India are being resurrected, he added.

Ravindra Jadeja has appealed to the citizens of Gujarat to vote in large numbers.

Notably, it is a matter worth mentioning that even though Ravindra Jadeja’s wife was running for elections from BJP, his father and sister campaigned for the Congress.

After casting his vote, Ravindra Jadeja’s father Anirudhsinh Jadeja had said that he was with Congress. He added that party matters were different from family matters and that they should stay with their party, which has been with them for years. My son knows that it is a party’s matter and not a family problem, he concluded.

On the other hand, Naina Jadeja, sister of Ravindra Jadeja, has said that this was not the first time that such an incident was happening that a family was divided in different parties. She added that many families in Jamnagar have members working for different parties.

Be satisfied with your ideology and give your 100 per cent and the better party will win, Naina Jadeja said, adding that her love for her brother will stay the same.

The counting and results for both the phases of elections are elated to be declared on 8 December 2022.
