World Cup 2023:  Afghanistan cricket Fans celebrate historic win over Pakistan on streets of Kabul

Afghanistan completed a 8 wicket victory over Pakistan. The Afghanistan team chased down Pakistan score of 282-7 easily because of an opening partnership of 130 runs of 128 balls between  Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmatullah Gurbaz. Zadran scored a solid 87 and Gurbaz scored a swift 65 which set the stage for Afghanistan’s successful chase.

The streets were full of joyous celebration on Monday, October 23,2023 as Afghanistan secured historic victory over rivals Pakistan in the Ongoing Cricket World Cup. This is the Afghan cricket team’s first ever one day international (ODI) win against Pakistan. The fans celebrated  the win with fireworks.

The match was held at the MA Chdambaram stadium in Chennai. Afghanistan completed a 8 wicket victory over Pakistan. The Afghanistan team chased down Pakistan score of 282-7 easily because of an opening partnership of 130 runs of 128 balls between  Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmatullah Gurbaz. Zadran scored a solid 87 and Gurbaz scored a swift 65 which set the stage for Afghanistan’s successful chase.

The victory marks an important milestone in Afghanistan’s cricketing history. It was Afghanistan’s first win against Pakistan an a One day international match. This win has boosted the morale of the team and the Afghanistan fans.

The atmosphere was electric in Kabul. Fireworks lit up the night sky as fans  came out on the streets to celebrate the historic win. This victory was not just a win on the cricket field but was also a symbol of national unity and pride for the people of Afghanistan.

The match was a thrilling encounter. Pakistan had a strong start but Afghanistan restricted them from posting a large total on the scoreboard. Their partnership laid a solid foundation for the chase and the batsman capitalized on it and took Afghanistan to a comfortable victory.

The loss is a big blow for Pakistan which pushed them into a must win situation for a place in the semifinals. Afghanistan’s win kept their hopes alive and took them to the 6th position in the cricket world cup. The victory over Pakistan is a proof of Afghnistan’s growing prowess in International cricket. The celebration in Kabul reflects the joy of a well deserved win for the people of Afghanistan.

Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his impressive performance in the Test series between India and England. After scoring back-to-back double centuries, heading into the Ranchi Test, Jaiswal slammed another half-century in the match of the series.

On the second day of the Ranchi Test, Jaiswal faced some disciplined bowling from England and played a gutsy innings. Jaiswal and Shubman Gill formed a vital partnership to stabilise the Indian batting after Jaiswal lost Rohit Sharma early in the innings.

The batter today played a patient inning. Jaiswal batted with Rajat Patidar and scored his fifty in 89 balls. To finish his feat, Jaiswal took a single off of Shoaib Bashir.

In order to accomplish an exceptional mark, the left-hander also joined Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid on the elite list. Jaiswal only became the third Indian batter to reach 600 plus runs in a Test series against England in the history of Test cricket. In 2002, Rahul Dravid became the first player from India to score 600 runs (apart from home series). In the 2016–17 home series, Kohli accomplished the same record.

Jaiswal passed the 55-run threshold in the match’s 40th over, he achieved this special milestone.

The 22-year-old Yashasvi Jaiswal is in his best phase now, and it won’t be surprising if he surpasses the record held by Australian great Donald Bradman for the most runs in a Test series. In the 1930 series against England, Donald Bradman scored 974 runs in five Test matches, accomplishing the mark.

Meanwhile, throughout the season, the young player has been in outstanding form. So far, Jaiswal has scored at least one fifty-plus score in every Test match. The young player’s two back-to-back double centuries in the second and third Test matches of the series were his most notable efforts. Jaiswal struck a century in the match’s first innings in Vizag, and then in the second innings of the match in Rajkot, he completely destroyed the opponents.

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar recently visited Kashmir with his family. During his vacation Tendulkar met differently-abled cricketer Amir Hussain, who got emotional after seeing his childhood icon. Tendulkar was too mesmerised by him and thus called Hussain a real hero.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Sachin Tendulkar today shared a video, saying, to Amir, the real hero. Keep inspring. It was pleasure meeting him,Tendulkar added. In the begginning of the  video, Tendulkar can be seen hugging Hussian. As the video goes on, Amir talks about his life and says that Sachin Tendulkar has always been an inspiration to him.

In the video, Tendular can be also seen presenting Hussain his atugraphed bat. Before giving the bat Tendulakar said, Iss taraf dekho nehi, main kuch karne wala hun, which translates in Englis, don’t look at this side, I am going to do something. He then gives Hussain a bat that he has signed with a few words of thanks.

Amir Hussain can be seen telling  Sachin Tendulkar towards the end of the video that he is traveling with his son and wife. After knowing this, the Master Blaster alsomeets them. The video ends with a still image of Sachin Tendulkar with Amir and his family smiling and posing for the camera.

Meanwhile, Sachin also makes reference to a tweet he posted earlier in January this year, regarding Amir in the video. The legendary cricketer also reshared the video that was initally posted by ANI.

Meanwhile, as soon as Sachin Tendulakar shared this video on social media, it quickly went viral and his fans couldn’t stop themselves from praising him for his heart-warming gesture. A user said, brought tears to my eyes. Another said, two legends together. A third user wrote, both are inspiration for everyone. Others also dropped heart and folded-hand emoji in the comment section.

India Vs England: Akash Deep makes dream debut as Bihar seamer takes 3 wickets in first six overs

After receiving his Test Debut cap from head coach Rahul Dravid, Akash Deep touched his mother’s feet and took her blessing. Deep moved on from his mistake and took three wickets in the first session. Ben Ducket (11) was caught by Dhruv Jurel, while Ollie Pope (O) was given LBW. Zak, who earlier survived due to Akash Deep’s no ball, was bowled after scoring 42.

Fast bowler Akash Deep made a dream debut to his Test career on Friday as he picked up three crucial wickets in his first six overs, leaving England reeling after they had won the toss and elected to bat first in the fourth Test match against India at the JSCA stadium in Ranchi. Akash Deep was almost unplayable in the early part of the first session.

Captain Rohit Sharma handed Akash Deep the new ball from the other hand, and the right arm seamer impressed critics with his bowling. Akash Deep’s pace remained in the 130s and Jurel had to make quite a brilliant take off the third ball, which flew down the leg side of Duckett. He conceded just two runs off his first over.

He picked up the wicket of Zak Crawley in his second over, but the delivery was declared a no-ball by the umpire. He then picked up the wickets of Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope afterwards and smashed Crawley’s off stump. This time it was a legitimate delivery and Crawley was sent back to the pavilion.
