The current season of Indian Premiere League has been everything for both the new teams (Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants) were hoping for, but the two most successful teams (Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings) of IPL have had the worst tournament of their tenure.

Much to their fan’s dismay the two-star players of Indian Team, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have also been struggling to score big. And Recently during a media interaction when BCCI head Sourav Ganguly was asked about the same, he had something important to say.

Former skipper Sourav Ganguly decided to show faith in both the cricketers and said that they are great players and will eventually get back in form. Specifically talking about Virat Kohli, who has been struggling to score his 71st century since 2022, dada said that even he has no idea about what’s going on in Virat’s mind. However, BCCI head showed faith in the cricketer and said that he will surely regain his form and get some good runs as he has always been a great player.

Virat Kohli has managed to just score 128 runs at an average of 16.00 with two golden ducks included in nine matches of IPL 2022. Moreover, the former skipper has made his last century in 2019 against Bangladesh in Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Talking about IPL 2022, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly said that this season has been interesting so far and any team can lift the trophy. He also expressed his happiness over the two new team playing really well. And lastly Ganguly named Sunrisers Hyderabad’s pacer Umran Malik as the ‘Outstanding Face’ of IPL 2022. And now that the BCCI president himself has praised the boy, it won’t be wrong to say that his entry in the Indian Squad is not that far.

As the selectors have already decided to give chances to new talent by giving rest to senior players, chances of Umran Malik to feature in Indian jersey for the upcoming South Africa T20I is high.

Travis Head (63) and Abhishek Sharma (63) gave an explosive start to the innings of Sunrisers Hyderabad. Head completed his half century in 18 balls, while Abhishek Sharma hit his half century in 16 balls. Heinrich Klassen (80*) and Aiden Markram (41*) led the Sunrisers Hyderabad to score the highest total in IPL history.

It was a high scoring match of IPL 17, where Sunrisers Hyderabad crushed Mumbai Indians and won the game by 31 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday. Earlier during the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost the toss against Mumbai Indians. Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad gave a huge target for Mumbai Indians to chase in Hyderabad, as they scored 277 runs and lost only 3 wickets. Mumbai Indians had to score 278 runs to win.

Both the openers Ishan Kishan (34) and Rohit Sharma (26) gave a good start to the innings and the momentum was kept alive by Naman Dhir (30) and Tilak Varma (64). But after Tilak Varma the run rate of Mumbai Indians dropped with Romario Shephard (15) and Tim David (42) tried to give a late push to the innings. Mumbai Indians could reach only 246/5 and lost the match by 31 runs. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jaidev Unadkat and Pat Cummins picked 2 wickets each, while Shahbaz Ahmed took one wicket.

Both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians recorded their highest ever individual score in IPL history respectively.

Chennai Super Kings crushed Gujarat Titans to secure a victory by 63 runs at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on Tuesday. The Gujarat Titans won the toss but nothing seemed to go right for Gujarat Titans as Ruturaj Gaikwad’s team dominated the Gujarat Titans in all departments of the game.

Gill opted for a review which showed that he did not have any clue about the trajectory and line of the ball as well as his own position in front of the stumps.

But for Sai Sudarshan there was no contribution which could be mentioned. Tushar Deshpande (2/21), Mustafizur Rahman (2/30) and Chahar (2/28) did the job for CSK with the ball. A T20 innings with more dot balls than boundaries and sixes was bound to end up in a losing cause. Chennai Super Kings has moved on the top the table with back to back wins. Rachin Ravindra took charge with a six off a Umesh Yadav length ball and did not stop thereafter as long as he stayed in the middle.

Royal Challengers Bangalore clinched a thrilling 4 wicket victory against Punjab Kings in their second IPL 2024 match on Monday, in Bengaluru. Chasing 177 runs, Dinesh Karthik came to RCB’s rescue, guiding them home in 19.2 overs.

RCB had a stuttering start to the run chase to their run chase, with Virat Kohli being the only batsman in the top order who kept the chase alive with some scintillating shots. The former RCB captain hit 77 of 49 balls which were packed with 11 fours and 2 sixes. He missed out on his century and lost his wicket in the final delivery of the 16th over to Harshal Patel. On Kohli’s departure, RCB was trailing PBKS at 130/5.

It looked as if RCB was crumbling towards another defeat, but in came Dinesh Karthik. He did not have a good start as he saw his partner Anuj Rawat lose his wicket in the 2nd ball of the 17th over. The wicketkeeper was replaced by Mahipal Lomror. He started his innings with a boundary which was followed by a single. Then Kathik smacked Sam Curran for a four, and ended the innings with 2 runs.

In the 18th over Lomror hammered Arshdeep Singh for a six and four as the Indian pacer gave 13 runs, taking the equation to 23 off 12 balls. Then in the 19th over Harshal Patel conceded 13 runs, as, Karthik hit a 4 and a 6.
