Joe Root resigns as England Test captain
Joe Root’s tenure as the captain of England’s Test Cricket Team has come to an end. He was appointed as the captain of the test team after Alastair Cook’s resignation in 2017. He holds the record for most wins (27 games) as an England captain in the longest format of cricket. However, despite being the most successful England captain Joe Root faced several defeats in recent time.
