IND vs AUS: Australia all out for just 113, Jadeja strikes 7 wickets

Indian spinners have dismissed the entire Australian team back to the pavilion in just two sessions on the third day of India vs Australia 2nd Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ravichandran Ashwin had given the first success to the Indian team in the very first over of the third day. He gave the second blow to Australia on the score of 65 runs in the second innings. Travis Head was dismissed after scoring 43 runs in 46 balls. Wicket keeper Shrikar Bharat caught his catch. Steve Smith was at the crease with Labuschagne, but both was dismissed soon.
Where Ashwin sent Smith back for just 9 runs, Jadeja took Labuschangne’s wicket at 35 off 50 balls. Ashwin then took Matt Renshaw wicket and sent him back to pavilion after scoring just 2 runs.
Later Jadeja came on a roll and dismissed Handscomb for 0, Alex Cary for 7, Australia skipper Pat Cummins for 0 again, Nathan Lyon for 8.
Before the start of the third day’s play, captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid spoke to the entire team and boosted the morale of all the players. And seems like Sunday which was going to be a decisive day in the match, will be the last day of the 2nd Test.
For the unversed, the second match of the four-match Test series between India and Australia is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In this match, Australia scored 263 runs in the first innings. In response, India scored 262 runs and Australia got a one-run lead on the basis of first innings. At the end of the second day’s play, Australia’s score is 61/1 and they had a total lead of 62 runs till the game started on Sunday.

IPL chairman Arun Dhumal sees remarkable growth trajectory for IPL’s media rights. He projected an increase to an impressive $50 million by 2043. This optimistic outlook is contingent on the league’s commitment to continous innovation and responsiveness to fans interests.
In the present scenario the IPL demands a substantial media rights value which has reached $6.2 billion for a five year period starting in 2022. Even with this valuation IPL holds the distinction of the second most valued league globally moving behind the National Football league (NFL).
Recently the NFL recently secured a monumental $110 billion media deal spanning over a period of 11 years, underscoring the immense financial prowess of the American sporting entity. Dhumal was speaking at the RCB Innovation Lab’s leaders Meet India in Bengaluru.
Former BCCI treasurer Dhumal expressed optimisim about a potential windfall for the league. He made these predictions on the basis of two key developments: The introduction of women’s premier league (WPL) and the inclusion of cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. These developments will have a major impact on the league’s financial growth and overall global prominence.
Dhumal said they needed to keep on innovating and keep doing better in terms of fan engagement and increase the quality of the games.The media rights value of the Indian Premier League has grown exponentially in the last the decade and half from Rs 6000 crore in 2008 and went past several other major sporting leagues all over the world.
Dhumal said IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world. He said it is the biggest Make in India Brand one could think of post independence. He said India was truly a very diverse nation but IPL was the only brand that united the whole country and showcased it at the international stage.

He said the franchise has seen Gill mature not only as a batsman but also as a leader in cricket. Solanki added Gill’s contribution on the field has helped Gujarat Titans emerge as formidable force and has guided the team through a successful campaign in 2022 and a strong run in 2023. He said Gill’s maturity and skill can be seen in his performance on and off the field performance and he was extremely excited to start a new journey with young Shubman being the team captain.

Hardik Pandya had joined Gujarat titans as their captain in 2022 and led them to title win in the maiden season itself. He also led Gujarat Titans to the final of IPL 2023, where lost to the Chennai Super Kings.

India Vs Australia T20Is series: Suryakumar Yadav to lead team India as captain, Shreyas Iyer to join as vice captain in last two T20’s
The five match T20I series is going to start on 23rd November in Vishakapatnam. Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been made the T20I captain for the series against Australia.

Suryakumar Yadav has been made India’s captain for the T20I series against Australia. Shreyas Iyer will later join the team as vice captain. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s squad for the upcoming T20I series against Australia on Monday.
The five match T20I series is going to start on 23rd November in Vishakapatnam. Indian batsman Suryakumar Yadav has been made the T20I captain for the series against Australia. Hardik Pandya who had an ankle injury during the world cup has been advised six to eight weeks of rest by the medical team.
Shreyas Iyer is supposed to join the team as vice captain for the last last two T20’s in Raipur and Bengaluru. Opener Ruturaj Gaikwad has been made the vice captain of the team for the first three T20I’s. India has retained most of the players who played the Ireland T20I series. Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been rested after the end the World Cup 2023.
Bumrah was the captain of the second string team in the Ireland series earlier this year. All rounder Axar Patel is set to make a comeback to the team as he missed the ICC World Cup due to an injury. As a result of which Ravichandran Ashwin was picked up for the ICC World Cup.
The Indian team has gone with Jitesh Sharma and Ishan Kishan as the wicket keeper batsmen options for the T20I series. India will play host for the T20I series against Australia. The matches are going to be held at Hyderabad, Nagpur, Guwahati, Thiruvanthpuram and Visakhapatnam.
