IPL 2020: Amit Mishra ruled out of the tournament after finger injury
Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer had said after the game that it is really unfortunate for the team to lose Mishra in the middle of the IPL 2020 when he was spinning the ball really well.

Delhi Capitals senior leg-spinner Amit Mishra has been ruled out of the Indian Premier League 2020 with a finger injury in his bowling hand. His journey for the tournament has come to an end after an injury in his bowling hand while taking a low return catch of Kolkata Knight Riders left handed batsman Nitish Rana in Capitals’ last match on October 3. Mishra bowled another over after the injury and even dismissed Shubman Gill but didn’t bowl again after that, finishing the game with figures of 1 for 14 in 2 overs.
Mishra is sustaining a flexor tendon injury in his bowling hand. The news comes hours before the Delhi Capital game against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Delhi Capital on Monday came up with two spinners Axar Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin in the absence of Amit Mishra against Royal Challenger Bangalore.
Sources from Mishra’s management team confirmed that Amit has fractured his ring finger and is out of the tournament. He is set to travel back to India for recovery and rehabilitation. The 37-year-old spinner will now consult with a specialist over the next few days to determine the most appropriate course of management for this injury.

Mishra played three games in this IPL season and took 2 for 25 against Sunrisers Hyderabad apart from his 1/14 against KKR. His spell was brilliant against CSK despite going wicket-less for 23 runs in 4 overs. Mamata Banerjee struck deal with PM Modi to defame Rahul Gandhi: Congress
The Congress on Monday claimed that West Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee want to save herself from raids by probe agencies and has thus struck a deal with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “defame” Rahul Gandhi and the grand-old party.

The Congress on Monday claimed that West Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee want to save herself from raids by probe agencies and has thus struck a deal with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to “defame” Rahul Gandhi and the grand-old party.
In a statement to news agency ANI, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury claimed that Mamata Banerjee was speaking on the directions of PM Modi as ‘didi’ and PM have made a deal “to defame the image of Rahul Gandhi and Congress.”
Chowdhury claimed that Banerjee wants to “save herself from ED-CBI raids” and is thus speaking against the Congress and Rahul Gandhi to make the Prime Minister happy.
The Congress leader was reacting to the West Bengal CM’s recent comments on Rahul Gandhi wherein she alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was portraying the Congress scion as a hero in their bid to divert attention from burning issues.
Addressing her Trinamool Congress (TMC) party workers during an internal meeting in the West Bengal’s Murshidabad district on Sunday, Banerjee accused the ruling BJP’s efforts to stall parliament proceedings in their demand for an apology from Rahul Gandhi, as an attempt to “make a hero” out of the Wayanad MP so that no one questions PM Modi.
Banerjee alleged that the BJP was trying to shift focus from current issues by stalling proceedings over Rahul Gandhi democracy remarks in the UK.
The second leg of the budget session—which began amid turmoil last week— has been marred by logjams as neither the ruling BJP, nor the Congress-led Opposition, are budging from their respective demands.
While the BJP are demanding an apology from Rahul Gandhi over his comments on the Indian democracy during a recent speech in London, the Opposition has intensified its push for a demand asking for a Joint Parliamentary Probe (JPC) into the Adani-Hindenburg report.
