Virat Kohli’s low scoring streak is continuously bothering the cricketer and his fans. The former skipper has been having a tough time in this season of Indian Premiere League. He has scored only 128 runs in nine matches of IPL 2022. Moreover, in the last two games he was out on golden duck and last night also against Rajasthan Royals, he just made nine runs and returned back to pavilion.

Virat Kohli’s stepping down as India and RCB captain in recent months, was somehow expected to dominate the game without the burden of leadership on his shoulders but to worst of Indian’s nightmare this wish didn’t come true.

The cricketer’s repeated failures have prompted some former cricketers to suggest that he needs a break from the game. However, the coach Sanjay Bangar says that is not the case as Kohli has seen these highs and lows plenty of times in his cricketing career. He also believes that Virat is a fighter and has that spirit in him. Lastly, he added “Kohli will emerge stronger and I am sure he will win us games in upcoming matches.”

However, seems like the outside noise is also bothering the former skipper. Last night when RCB lost the match by nine runs and their new captain Faf DuPlessis said in post-match presentation that he wanted Kohli to open in this match because he didn’t want him to sit out side and think too much of the game.

Now here’s something worth noting, Virat Kohli who has always batted at number three and has been a super striker is now even finding it hard to wait outside the game and bat at his pre-assigned position.

But the RCB camp seems unaffected by this form of Virat Kohli and will continue to back the former skipper no matter what. Talking about the same, Faf DuPlessis said that Great players go through such phases. And great characters successfully find a way to get through it.

He further added, “Virat Kohli is a fantastic cricketer. We will still back him and it’s just the case of hitting the ball in the middle of the bat and getting a good start. After all cricket is a game of confidence.”
