Star cricketer Mohammed Shami, was granted release on a 2,000 rupee bail bond by the Alipore court. On Tuesday, Shami physically appeared before the Alipore ACJM court in Kolkata and obtained bail.

A case has been brought against Mohammad Shami and a few of his family members on the basis of the FIR submitted by Hasin Jahan at the Jadavpur police station in 2018. Legal action was started against Shami.

The judge had already ordered Shami to show up and post bail. Hasin Jahan, Shami’s ex-wife, filed a complaint in a lower court in 2018 accusing him of domestic violence.

In the bride torture case, Mohammed Shami first appeared in court. On Tuesday, September 19, the Indian cricketer appeared in court and requested bail before the World Cup 2023, which begins on October 5. The plea was accepted, and the judge set bail.

On August 23, the Alipur Additional Sessions Judge issued a ruling stating that, in light of Hasin’s allegation, the court did not find any justification for summoning Shami. Therefore, he is not required to show up in court right now. The Indian cricketer must, however, petition to the trial court for additional action in this case within the following 30 days.

He is eligible to petition for bail during this period of time. Shamir’s bail will be decided by the trial court in accordance with the law. As a result of this directive, Shami showed up in court and was given bail.

The Indian team has included Mohammed Shami in the lineup for the forthcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. The pacer took part in the team’s performance in the just-completed Asia Cup 2023. He had few opportunities in the competition because Mohammed Siraj was chosen over him.

Mohammed Shami made a respectable effort throughout his two appearances in the Asia Cup 2023 matches against Bangladesh and Nepal. Additionally, he was included in the Indian team’s squad for the 2023 ICC World Cup.

Along with Australia’s batting prodigy Travis Head and all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, India’s Mohammed Shami, who finished the recently concluded ICC World Cup as the tournament’s top wicket-taker, has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for November 2023.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) released a statement saying, two ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 champions and an Indian fast-bowling veteran have made the shortlist for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month Award for November 2023.

November saw Shami continuing on his incredible World Cup performance. At an economy rate of 5.68 and an average of 12.06, he claimed 15 wickets. With 24 wickets from just seven innings, he emerged as the 2023 Cricket World Cup’s top wicket-taker overall. When Shami came at the conclusion of the first Powerplay, Sri Lanka was already struggling in a 358-run chase. He batted through their middle and lower order in his five overs.

At Eden Gardens, a concentrated 2/18 led to South Africa’s destruction. But against New Zealand in the semi-final, the quick bowler was outstanding.

After an extended injury absence from work, Australia’s batting sensation Head made his comeback to the team at the end of October with a magnificent century against New Zealand. He carried on his strong form into November.

He amassed 220 runs at an incredible average of 44 in five One-Day Internationals in November, including a half-century and a century. His performances in the semi-final and final of the Cricket World Cup were noteworthy; he was voted Player of the Match and was instrumental in Australia’s sixth title.
