Mohammed Shami ordered to pay alimony to wife, will give Rs 1.30 lakh every month
The two began living separately after Jahan levelled allegations against Shami of domestic violence and of match-fixing in 2018

Team India’s pacer Mohammed Shami will have to pay alimony every month to his wife Hasin Jahan. The Lower Court of Kolkata gave this order on Monday. This amount will be Rs 1 lakh 30 thousand. This includes Rs 50,000 for Hasin Jahan and Rs 80,000 for their daughter’s expenses. Both are living separately since 2018 and the divorce case is pending in the court.
Hasin Jahan filed divorce case in 2018
Hasin Jahan had filed a suit in the court in 2018 demanding a monthly maintenance of Rs 10 lakh. In this, Rs 7 lakh were her personal living allowance and Rs 3 lakh was the cost of maintenance of their daughter.

Hasin Jahan met Shami in the year 2011. During that time she used to do cheerleading for the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. Both got married in 2014. Hasin Jahan left modeling and acting after marriage. In 2018, Jahan had leveled several allegations against Shami, including of domestic violence and of match-fixing. Since then both started living separately and since then the divorce case is pending in the court. In 2018, Hasin Jahan stepped into her profession again.
Shami’s income is Rs 7 crore, so more allowance should be paid: Hasin Jahan’s attorney
Hasin Jahan’s lawyer Mriganka Mistry told the court that Shami’s annual income in 2020-21 was Rs 7 crore. On the basis of the same, alimony was demanded. Her argument was that an alimony of Rs 10 lakh was not unreasonable. Shami’s income tax return was also cited in the appeal. On this, Shami’s lawyer Selim Rahman claimed that Hasin Jahan herself is a professional fashion model. She is earning herself and so this much alimony was not required.
BCCI had cancelled Shami’s contract after allegations
In March 2018, Shami’s contract was terminated by the BCCI after his wife Hasin Jahan accused him of domestic violence and of match-fixing. Shami was found innocent in the investigation. A few days later the board renewed his contract.

both the teams will clash at Ahmadabad’s Narendra Modi International Stadium. The series decider will begin at 7:00 pm.

This is India’s fourth T20 series with New Zealand in the last four years. India has won the last three series without losing any match. This time the circumstances are different. The Black Caps won the first match and Hardik Pandya’s team barely touched the target of 100 in Lucknow to level the series by 1-1. Today, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Team India will challenge New Zealand to win the fourth consecutive T20 series.
Will Indian top order score in 3rd T20I?
In the absence of senior cricketers like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, the young top order of Team India has not been able to leave a mark in the last two matches. Ishaan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Rahul Tripathi all three have not been able to score runs. If Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya had not taken the lead in Lucknow, India would have found it difficult to reach the target of 100 runs. In such a situation, Prithvi Shaw can be included in Team India.
After this India will not play T20 for a long time
After this match, the Indian team does not have to play T20 for a long time. After this, there is a four-Test series with Australia, as well as preparations for the ODI World Cup to be held in October this year. In such a situation, the Indian youth brigade will have this golden opportunity to showcase their talent in this format of cricket.
