Pro Kabaddi League is back with a precautionary bang: Check schedule and where to watch

Some really good news for the Kabaddi fans is finally here. Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) is back with a bang, and COVID precautions. The 7th edition if PKL is set to begin on December 22, 2021. The Sheraton Grand Bengaluru Whitefield Hotel & Convention Centre in Bangalore, Karnataka, will host all the matches. This time, fans of the sport will not be able to watch the league live from stadium as the venue has been turned into a well-coordinated and secured bio-bubble. This is no reason to be disappointed as all the matches, pre and post-match interviews will be broadcasted live on Star Sports Network. The organisers have decided to abide by all the precautionary measures with number of Omicron-positive cases hiking countrywide. Masks are compulsory for all the teams and officials The players stayed quarantined for seven days after reaching to the hotel from their respective training centres. Now, the players and officials are not allowed to leave the hotel under any circumstance. If they do, they will have to stay in quarantine for another seven days. The hotel staff has to abide by these rules as well.
In addition, everyone has to undergo the RT-PCR test daily. The only four places where the players are allowed to take off their masks are the gym, training mats, rooms and dining hall.
The players were provided with their own psychologists before stepping into quarantine. There are twelve teams that will compete in the league- Bengal Warriors, Bengaluru Bulls, Dabang Dilli, Gujrat Giants, Haryana Steelers, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Puneri Paltan, Tamil Thalaivas, Telegu Titans, UP Yoddha and U Mumba.

Asian Games 2023: India win gold in dressage team event
For India Anush Agarwala and his horse ETRO scored the maximum points at 71.088. Hriday Chheda Emerald scored 60.941. Divyakriti Singh – Adrenalin Firdod scored 68.176. Sudipta Hajela and Chinski scored 66.706.

India won its first gold medal on the day in Equestrian. The dressage team secured the top position beating HongKong and China. The team of Anush Agarwalla, Hriday Vipul Chheda, Divyakriti Singh and Sudipti Hajela scored a total of 209.205 to win gold.
China were in second position with 204.882 points. Hong Kong finished with a bronze with 204.852 points. It is the first time in the history of the sport India has won a team gold in dressage event. Earlier today Neha Thakur opened India’s medal account on the day with silver in sailing.
Eabad Ali won bronze in the sport. According to Equestrian Australia in dressage competetions horse and rider perform a series of pre determined movements. These movements or figures take place in an arena of 20x60m or20x40m. The arena has 12 lettered markers which are placed symmetrically which indicates where movements are to start. And where changes of pace or lead are to occur.
In all competetions the horse has to show three paces canter, trot and walk and smooth transitions between and within these paces. At the Grand Prix level very collected movements such as passage and piaffe are required. Equestrian is performed both as a team event and as an individual event. Each team consists of three or four combinations riding at any level.

The achievement has come after 41 years in the making.The competition took place at the Tonglu Equestrian Centre. The Indian team showed their skills and unwavering resilience and determination. The victory is a tribute to India’s earlier Equestrian glory. The last gold medal was won by India in the year 1982 Asian Games held in New Delhi.

Asian Games 2023: Neha Thakur wins silver medal in Sailing event
Neha’s total score was 32 and the net score was of 27. Neha finished second to Thailand’s Noppassorn Khunboonjan

Neha Thakur won a silver medal in sailing and opened India’s medal account. She stood at the second position in the girl’s dinghy event. He took India’s medal tally to 12. In Sailing the Competetor’s lowest score from all the races is deducted from the total points to calculate the net score. The participant with the lowest score is declared the winner.
In the girl’s dinghy ILCA-4 category, there are a total of 11 races. Neha accumulated a total of 32 points. Neha’s least favourable performance was in the fifth race. She earned 5 points which resulted in the net score of 27.Updated medal tally of India is as follows:

Neha’s total score was 32 and the net score was of 27. Neha finished second to Thailand’s Noppassorn Khunboonjan. India beat 16-1 in pool A match in Men’s Hockey. In shooting Manu Bhaker(1st), Esha Singh (3rd) and Rythym Sangwan (11th) at the end of the precision stage in Women’s 25 m Pistol event. Rapid stage will take place tomorrow.
Neha is a daughter of a farmer in Madhya Pradesh. She lives in Amlataj village, Hatpipalia Tehsil, Dewas District. In the month of March 2022 Neha Thakur and Ritika Dangi won a bronze medal and gold medal in the Asian Sailing Championship in Abu Dhabi.. Those podium finishes helped them to qualify for the Asian Games.
In Tennis Ankita Raina won in round 3. In Swimming Shivangi Sarma finished 17th in women’s 100 m freestyle qualification, but she failed to reach the finals. Ramita and Divyansh Singh Parmar lost to Korea in Bronze medal match in 10 m air rifle mixed team event. Bhavani Devi lost 7-15 in quarter finals to China’s Shao Yuqi. Rutuja Bhosale lost to Alex Eala Phi of Philipines in Women’s tennis singles round of 16 match 6-7,2-6.

Asian Games 2023: Men’s 10m Air Rifle team breaks world record to win first gold medal for India
Aishwary registered 631.6 points. Diyyansh scored 629.6 points for the team. Rudrankksh finished in the third spot in qualification 631.6 points for India. All the three shooters also qualified for the top eight in the 10m Air Rifle event.

India’s Men’s 10m Air Rifle team has broken the World Record to win the first gold medal for India in the Asian Games 2023. The team consists of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Divyansh Singh Panwar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil shattered the world record and clinched India’s first gold medal of the games.
In the individual qualification round the three of them shot a total of 1893.7 points. They broke the world record set by China earlier that year at the Baku World championship. South Korea finished in the second spot with 1890.1 points. China came in third with a total score of 1888.2.
Aishwary registered 631.6 points. Diyyansh scored 629.6 points for the team. Rudrankksh finished in the third spot in qualification 631.6 points for India. All the three shooters also qualified for the top eight in the 10m Air Rifle event. India finished at the top position winning a gold medal in the team event.
According to the Asian Games rules only two participants from each nation can qualify for the final. This is the main reason Aishwary and Rudrankksh went to the finals and Divyansh missed out. The first series saw a slip up from the Indian shooters with Divyansh and Rudrankksh reaching 104.8 points each, while Aishwary scored 104.1. But they quickly regained their position.
They improved their sores in the following series. By the sixth series the team had broken the world record. They scored a total of 1893.7 points. This victory is very important for India as it is India’s first gold medal at the Asian Games 2023. It has set the standard for India’s performance at the games.
India has wrapped up the first day with a total of five medals. India’s medal tally includes two bronze medals and three silver medals. The 10m air rifle team featuring Ramita Jindal, Meghuli Ghosh and Ashi Chouksey won India’s first medal at Hangzhou 2023, a silver medal in shooting.
