In a major job push, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday distributed 71,000 appointment letters to the freshly inducted recruits in various departments of the government at Rozgar Mela via video conferencing.
The Rozgar Mela is being held at 45 different locations across the country, as per the Prime Minister’s Office(PMO) the recruitments are taking place for induction into Central Government Departments as well as various State Governments/UTs who are supporting this initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said earlier it used to be difficult to apply for a government job as one had to stand in queue for hours to get the form for applying but in today’s time the whole process from applying to getting the results has been digitalized and one can do it online.
He added that today no interview is required for the Group C&D posts which has ended the chances of corruption and nepotism.
The Prime Minister added saying every scheme and policy of the central government is creating new employment opportunities for the youth of this country.
PM Modi said the Startup culture has pushed the employment opportunities and has provided jobs to more than 10 lakh youths in the country.
PM Modi also emphasized on foreign investments saying Multinational companies like Apple, Walmart, Cisco, NXP and others have an optimistic view for their business growth in India.

As its the 9th anniversary of the 2014 Lok Sabha results after which PM Modi came into the power at the center, Prime Minister said in the last 9 years the Government of India has had a capital expenditure of about Rs 34 lakh crore.
Prime Minister said that the mantra of Government of India is Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas for making India a developed nation.
The new recruits will be inducted into various positions and posts in various government departments such as Gramin Dak Sevaks, Inspector of Posts, Commercial-cum-Ticket Clerk, Junior clerk-cum-Typist, Junior Accounts Clerk, Track Maintainer, Assistant Section Officer, Lower Division Clerk, Sub Divisional Officer, Tax Assistants, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Inspectors, Nursing Officers, Assistant Security Officers, Fireman, Assistant Accounts officer, Assistant Audit officer, Divisional Accountant, Auditor, Constable, Head Constable, Assistant Commandant, Principal, Trained Graduate Teacher, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Professor, among others.
The center said that the newly inducted candidates will also get an opportunity to train themselves through an online orientation course Karmayogi Prarambh, a course for all new inductees in various departments of the government.
