Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor’s latest interview has not only ignited debates but has also opened gates for meme fest. The ‘star kid’ from the Kapoor clan, gave an explosive interview to entertainment website Bollywood Hungama saying that the Hindi film industry should come together against the boycott trend.

Arjun Kapoor said “We have stayed silent for too long on the boycott culture and thought our work will speak for itself. But that didn’t happen and I think that Hindi filmmakers made a mistake by thinking so. Being silent was fine but now people are taking advantage of our decency.” Arjun added that people are making the boycott trends and hashtags that run from reality.

Arjun Kapoor, who made Bollywood debut in 2012 with YRF’s Ishaqzaade, did analyse the situation well to see the Hindi Film industry in a victimising position, but what the actor failed to understand is that the entertainment industry is also at fault. The Bollywood section has time and again come up with poorly scripted movies like one of his flops, Ek Villain returns, Heropanti 2, Rakshabandhan and many more.

Arjun, who thinks that nothing sells like show business further claimed that the shine of the film industry did come down over past few years only because the actors and filmmakers didn’t do much when muck was thrown at them.

He believes that the boycott of Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and the flak drawn on Ranveer Singh’s nude photoshoot was nothing but a distraction. Arjun went ahead and added, ‘it should not take away the respect from this industry that it deserves’. Later Kapoor even agreed that the work produced by the Hindi film industry has not been up to the mark and said that the industry needs to fix their quality of work first and then brings it on the table.
