Monkey teaches baby not to take food from strangers, Twitter in splits | WATCH

A heartwarming video of a monkey momma teaching its young one not to take food from strangers is doing the rounds on social video. Most of us can relate as we all have received similar lessons from our parents in our childhood.
The video with a caption “Monkey teaches her baby not to accept food from strangers”, was shared on Sunday, January 22, and has gone viral since.
In the 13-second clip, a man is seen offering some fruit to the young one who jumps to grab but the mother immediately pulls the baby monkey back, not allowing her young one to relish the offering.
The momma, who herself is savoring a juicy mango thwarts another attempt by her kid, once again not allowing to him grab the stranger’s offering. However, the baby tries again and seemingly manages to grab a bite out of the fruit on its third attempt.
The mother, however, doesn’t seem amused at this and drags the baby monkey away and also seems irate at the man who offered the treat.
The viral has left Twitter users in splits as some reminisced how their own moms used to warn and prevent them from taking offering of food from strangers while others commented that the mother should’ve let the baby have the fruit while she herself was relishing treats given by others.
“It will never learn, you can’t be telling me not to accept strangers’ food when you are eating all the food and leaving me none. I’m the baby here,” a user wrote.
“At least give the baby monkey your own food if you don’t want them to receive food from strangers lol,” added another commenter.
“I watched this and remembered my mom used to hate when we took food from strangers,” a user wrote.
For most users, the video was just a heartwarming watch showing the love between a mother and child in another species.
“A perfect balance between the curiosity of the baby, love of the mother & kindness of the person,” wrote one user.
