Mob storms police station in MP’s Burhanpur, thrashes cops, free dacoit and 2 others | WATCH

In a shocking incident, a mob of at least 60 people brazenly stormed a police station in Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday, thrashed the cops with sticks and freed three people, including a dacoit, from the police lockup.

As per reports, a violent mob of 50-60 people forced their way inside the Nepanagar Police Station on late Thursday night, vandalized the premises and also beat up the policemen on duty with sticks and freed a dacoit identified as Hema Meghwal along with his two other associates from the station.

A senior police official said that two police officials were injured in the attack and are currently admitted at the district hospital.

Burhanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Rahul Kumar Lodha said that Hema Meghwal, who is accused in the looting of guns at Bakdi outpost, was arrested on Thursday and lodged in the lockup at Nepanagar police station.

The senior officer said the dacoit’s companion, Sudiya, accompanied by around 50 other forest encroachers stormed the police station, vandalized the premises and freed Meghwal and two others from lockup.

The SP informed that five policemen were on duty at the time of the incident and two of them sustained injuries in the attack.

He said that a case under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway, adding that the police is scanning CCTV footage to identify the attackers.

Earlier, in a similar incident in the district, last month a mob had stormed a forest range office in which at least six people were injured.

Reports at the time said that forest encroachers attacked the team that had went to remove them from Ghaghrala forests in the district last month. Six persons, including a forest staff member, had sustained injuries in the attack.

The 34 year old Indian mother of two children, Anju alias Fatima who had travelled to a remote village in Kyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province of Pakistan to marry her facebook friend Nasrullah and had even left her children behind in India returned from Pakistan on Wednesday through the Attari land border in order to meet her beloved children.

According to reports Anju was born in Khailor village of Uttar Pradesh and lived in Alwar, Rajasthan crossed the Wagah (Pakistan)/Attari border on Wednesday afternoon. In the video going viral on social media shows her travelling alone with a couple of pieces of luggage. She appeared to be very calm and composed. In the video she said she is very happy and she did not want to make any further comments.

Anju and Nasrullah have been friends since 2019. Anju married 29 year old Nasrullah who lives in the upper Dir district of KPK. She has embraced Islam and even changed her name to Fatima. According to Pakistani reports Anju alias Fatima will be returning to Pakistan after meeting her children in India. The Pakistani government has also extended her Visa by one year.

Intelligence sources have expressed apprehensions about Anju’s return to Pakistan. Large number of comments started coming on the viral video. One user Vineet Kumar Rajvans said she must be under surveillance.

One social media was of the opinion that she should be deported back.

Another user said she should be taken into custody for inquiry.

One user Nitesh Raut said Anju must have returned back after seeing the poor lifestyle of Pakistanis. He said only Defence families are living some kind of life in Pakistan.

One user Veer Bhadra said there was a possibility that she could be an Indian agent.

Another user Mohammad Nouman Wattoo said she could be an ISI agent.

12th Fail the film directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra has earned Rs 50.68 crore in total box office collection. The film stars Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankar. The film was released in cinemas on October 27 in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil.

12th fail is based on Anurag Pathak’s bestselling novel about the journey of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi. The success of the film at the box office signals the success of content driven cinema. The story of the film revolves around the struggle of a small town boy as he goes on to crack the UPSC exam.

Leading trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the week wise domestic box office collection of 12th Fail. The film collected Rs 13 crore in its opening week and further growth in its second week with Rs 14.11 crore. The film minted Rs 9.48 crore which was better than the third week in which the film collected Rs 8.54 crore.

12th Film also stars Priyanshu Chatterjee, Sanjay Bishnoi, Anshuman Pushkar and Anant V Joshi. According to film business expert Girish Johar, Vikrant Massey is a lesser known star but the content of 12th fail is solid. The film has got 9 out of 10 by the audience on IMDB. 12th fail has also received positive reviews from the critics.

Cricketer Shubman Gill praised the film. He took to Instagram and wrote it is a very inspirational film. He said the film gives the message to never give up on your dreams. Vidhu Vinod Chopra told the media that money never motivated him. He said he could have made Munnabhai 3,4,5,6 and be a multibillionare, but he didn’t. He said he chose to make 12th fail with Vikrant Massey. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel said 12th fail is a beautiful film that one cannot afford to miss.

Hollywood actor and film producer Michael Douglas danced to Oscar winning super hit song, Naatu Naatu from the film RRR at IFFI 2023. The actor attended the film festival in Goa where he received the prestigious Satyajit Ray Excellence in Film Lifetime Award.

Douglas attended IFFI 2023 with wife Catherine Zeta Jones and son, Dylan Douglas. Michael Douglas was joined by producer Shailendra Singh on the IFFI stage and they danced to Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Videos and pictures of Douglas’s dance performance are going viral on social media.

The Hollywood actor was seen wearing a white shirt, blue blazer and a pair of grey trousers. Douglas and Shailendra Singh were in a conversation at IFFI 2023, which was held in Goa. The 54th edition of the International Film festival of India (IFFI) in Goa took place between November 20 and November 28.
