Along with this, he has also announced the remake of Omkara. Both these films were well liked by the audience and the announcement of its sequel and remake is no less than a gift for the audience.

Anand Pandit has partnered with Eros International and Parag Sanghvi for both these films. He shared the information about the sequel of Desi Boyz and the remake of Omkara with the fans by tweeting. Anand wrote that he is extremely happy to announce the sequel of Desi Boyz and the remake of Omkara.

He further wrote that fans should get ready for crazy entertainment. Interesting reaction of the users is coming on this tweet of Anand Pandit. However, some users have definitely spoken about not making a remake of Omkara as such movies are once in a lifetime movies and the acting done by Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Konkana Sen Sharma, Ajay Devgn and Vivek Oberoi cannot be undone by anyone.

Regarding both these films, Sunil Lulla, Chairman, Eros Motion Pictures said that they are very excited to associate with Anand for both the films. Whereas Parag Sanghvi said that he am very happy to be a part of these wonderful projects. And it will be exciting to take forward the legacy of these classic hits.

Lastly, Anand Pandit revealed that he has partnered with Eros International and Parag Sanghvi to make the sequel and remake of these two iconic films. “Desi Boyz and Omkara are still well-liked among the audience for their story, starcast and music. This is the right time to take forward the story of both these films and present them to today’s generation, ” said Anand Pandit.

His clarification came after his name had been circulating in discussions about possible contestants for Bigg Boss 20.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.

Azmi said she was surprised by the contrast between the appreciation she had heard from people who watched the film and its weak theatrical performance.

According to her, viewers who discussed the film with her had praised its message of humanity, but that appreciation did not translate into enough people going to theatres.

She also questioned whether audiences were uncomfortable with the film’s India-Pakistan subject. Azmi maintained that the film’s message was not politically incorrect and praised Sunny Deol’s performance.

According to the details shared by her son, Aasha Jaiswal Singh died on August 22. Her last rites were held at the Pawan Hans crematorium in Vile Parle West, Mumbai, on August 23 at 10 am.
