A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway, the official said.

The child’s parents and grandfather have alleged that Bharat thrashed the kid on Monday, however the teacher has denied the charges and instead claimed he had asked the Class 2 student for changing seats as he wasn’t paying attention in the class and fighting with other children.

Bharat claimed that the child fell while changing seats and then went home and complained to his grandfather Munuswamy that the teacher had assaulted him.

Police said the boy’s parents and his grandfather went to the school to seek an explanation where they attacked R Bharat.
