Harsh Goenka posts video of mouth-watering Jhalmuri, tweeple want him to organize Jhalmuri party with his followers

Business tycoon and the powertrain of the RPG locomotive, Harsh Goenka, frequently uses Twitter to post a variety of posts. Be it hilarious, inspiring, or informational, his tweets never fail to gain people’s attention. And recently one such incident happened where he reveals he is a big fan of street food and shares a video of him preparing his all-time favourite snack ‘Jhalmuri’.

Jhalmuri is a popular Bengali street snack, made of puffed rice and an assortment of spices, vegetables, chanachur and mustard oil. Variations of the street snack are also be found in many other cities around India such as Bhel Puri and Sev Puri.

He posts a video of the preparation of lip-smacking Jhalmuri with all the ingredients. In a caption, he says that he likes bhel puri, pani puri and ragda pattice but his all-time favourite snack is Jhalmuri. He feels that the mustard oil is what gives the delicacy its unique flavour.

In a video, you can also see that while preparing Jhalmuri, the vendor also asks Goenka if he would like to have the snack spicy. And to which Goenka replies with an affirmation. And after the snack is ready the vendor puts a spoon in the Jhalmuri and gives it to Goenka.

Twitter users felt Jhalmuri be quite relatable and commented on how they, too, are in love with the snack. One user asked Goenka as to where he might get genuine Jhalmuri in Mumbai and to this Goenka even shared the location.

One of the users also commented that right now he is eating homemade jhalmuri and to which Goenka responds with ‘Wow’! Another user commented ‘Truly mouthwatering. Thank you for reminding me about the small but amazing pleasures of life. Happiness!’

One user asked Goenka, “HV Ji, why not have a Jhalmuri party with your follower someday with gram chilla and Sandesh too?”

Amid row over his video, Kunal Kamra shares new clip targeting Nirmala Sitharaman

The Mumbai police have summoned him to answer for his statements, but he has requested additional time to comply through his attorney.

Comedian Kunal Kamra shared a newly reposted video on social media Wednesday, featuring a parody song directed at Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. This move follows significant backlash from a previous parody in which he referred to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a “gaddar” (traitor) during a performance in Mumbai.

In the recently reposted video, Kamra performs a reimagined version of the song “Hawa Hawai,” originally from the 1987 film Mr. India, starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi. In his comedic take, he highlights the struggles faced by everyday citizens under corporate pressures and a burdensome tax system. His performance critiques not only flawed infrastructure, such as poor roads, but also the perceived lack of urgency from the government in fostering development.

Amidst this controversy, Kamra is facing legal repercussions for his remarks about Shinde. This has led to incidents of vandalism at the venue by Shiv Sena supporters. The Mumbai police have summoned him to answer for his statements, but he has requested additional time to comply through his attorney.

Furthermore, Kamra has not shied away from addressing the ongoing backlash. He recently posted another parody aimed at the Shiv Sena and their protests against him. This latest video features his adapted version of the anthem “Hum honge Kamyaab,” blending political commentary with humor. The visuals accompanying this parody include scenes of Shiv Sena activists demolishing the venue and setting his effigy ablaze, all while his parody “Hum honge kangaal” plays in the background.

The response to Kamra’s work has been mixed; while the ruling Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra has publicly criticized his jibe at Shinde, he has received support from various opposition groups.

Kunal Kamra’s recent social media activity and parody performances underscore his engagement with political discourse, revealing public sentiments while attracting noteworthy media attention and creating a divisive reaction among political communities.

Shreyas Iyer’s dominant knock earns title of best middle-over batter as Aakash Chopra lauds technical shift

Aakash Chopra hailed Shreyas Iyer as India’s best middle-over batter after his unbeaten 97 helped Punjab Kings seal a thrilling 11-run IPL win over Gujarat Titans.

Shreyas Iyer drew high praise from former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra following his explosive 97* off just 42 balls in Punjab Kings’ thrilling 11-run win over Gujarat Titans in the IPL. Chopra hailed Iyer’s clean and calculated hitting, especially against spin, calling him the best Indian batter in the middle overs.

Speaking after the match, Chopra emphasized Iyer’s ability to take down spinners without stepping out, making him unpredictable and difficult to bowl to. “It was just the clean, crisp hitting—especially against spin,” said Chopra. “I believe he is the best Indian batter in the middle overs when it comes to taking down spinners.”

Chopra also pointed out a key technical tweak in Iyer’s batting stance that has improved his overall game. He observed that Iyer has slightly opened up his stance, allowing better control over short balls and expanding his shot range. “Traditionally, batting is side-on, but Shreyas has adjusted such that his back leg is slightly open. His bat is now positioned just outside the off-stump, which helps him access new areas and handle the short ball more effectively,” Chopra explained.

Iyer’s brilliance was complemented by Shashank Singh, who smashed 44 off just 16 balls, as the duo piled on 77 runs in the final four overs. Their aggressive finish powered PBKS to 243/5, which proved just enough to hold off Gujarat Titans at 232/5.

Chopra concluded that Iyer’s balance and adaptability are elevating his game, making him a vital asset in the middle order.
