Couple thrashed in Indore mall

A couple was allegedly beaten by policeman and his wife over in a mall in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore after an argument between the two families over the victim’s kid’s turn to play a game at the mall’s Game Zone.

According to reports, the cop’s children were playing in the Kids Zone of Indore’s Malhar Mega Mall even after their turn had ended. The victims who were waiting for their children’s turn complained to the policeman and his wife, they started arguing and abusing them and eventually resorted to assaulting the couple.

The incident took place on Sunday night and was captured on the mall’s security cameras.

Reports quoting a senior police official said the two families clashed over their children’s turn to play a game in the mall’s Kids Zone. The argument soon devolved into a fist fight and the two families started to abuse and rain blows on each other, adding that mall security had to intervene and separate the two families.

Giving details, the official said that Constable Bhupendra Parihar was visiting the mall along with his and his sister’s family where his two nieces started to play a ball game at the Kids Zone, however, one of the girls refused to come out even after their time ended.

Consequently, the victim couple, Sachin Jain—an engineer by profession—and his wife Kamini, residents of Shalimar Township, were awaiting their daughter’s turn to play the game. Kamini complained to Parihar’s sister to ask her daughter to come out, leading to an argument which escalated quickly as the men also jumped and came to blows. The women also resorted to physically assaulting each other.

The official said that both parties have lodged complaints against each other. He said that on Kamini Jain’s complaint, a case has been registered against Constable Bhupendra Parihar and others for the alleged assault at Vijay Nagar Police Station, adding that Parihar’s complaint against the Jains is also being probed.

The police are analyzing the CCTV footage of the incident, he said.

In his defense, Parihar claimed that the Jains instigated the argument and even engaged in a spat with his mother which aggravated things. The policeman alleged that the Jains used abusive language against him and his family even when the girl was taken out of the ball game zone. This, he said, angered him and lead to the assault.

Meanwhile, Kamini Jain, in her complaint blamed Parihar for the incident, claiming that the cop and another person started their family and assaulted her husband.

Kamini reportedly received minor injuries on her leg, face and neck in the scuffle.

After the BJP-led Mahayuti stellar performance in the Maharashtra Assembly election, an old video of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is going viral on the internet.

The viral video recorded after the BJP’s disappointing performance in the 2019 elections, showcased Fadnavis citing a Hindi Shayari, saying, “Mera paani utarta dekh mere kinare par ghar mat basa, main samandar hoon, lautkar vapas aaunga” (Don’t build a house on my shore after seeing my water receding. I am the ocean. I will come back).

This prophetic statement now resonates with his return as the leading face of the BJP, which has gained more than 130 seats alone in the state.

As the Mahayuti is set to form a government in the state, BJP workers and supporters were seen celebrating outside the party office in Mumbai.

In a post on X, Fadnavis, the former chief minister of Maharashtra, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modiji and BJP President JP Nadda for the victory in the state Assembly elections.

Earlier today, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari hailed the BJP-led Mahayuti for the outstanding performance in the Maharashtra Assembly elections, saying the alliance prioritised development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Shiv Sena (Shinde) chief and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde thanked the people of Maharashtra for the NDA’s landslide victory.

On Mahayuti’s CM face, Shinde said: “All I will say is let the final figures come. After that, all three parties (BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP) will sit, and discuss with seniors, and then a decision will be taken unanimously.”

The BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is all set to retain power in the state and has crossed the majority mark, as per the Election Commission of India data. In the Mahayuti, BJP candidates were leading in more than 120 seats, Shiv Sena in 55 and NCP in 38 seats.
