Monsoon is almost here knocking at your door to enter anytime. In the many regions of the county, including  Mumbai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad it’s already drizzling.  

In monsoon, a hot cup of tea and onion pakoda is the go-to thing for many Indians but why not replace the typical onion pakoda or bhaji this monsoon with a unique snack that has gone viral online?

The new dish, Onion Blossom, which will tickle your tastebuds, is going viral on the internet these days. The dish does not only tastes delicious but also fits the mood of a rainy day.

The mouth-watering dish was uploaded online by one of the food vlogs the_bearded_foodie and Bombay special food yard, and quickly after, people were impressed by the cooking and became impatient to try it. The video showed a street vendor cooking the perfect dish for onion lovers and those looking to complement the monsoon season with some delectable food in Vadodara’s Karelibagh.

The recipe comes to life to bring joy to a wonderful rainy day by first letting the vegetable crack open as a blossoming flower in a machine, deep-fried in oil, and serving it hot with spices and mayonnaise.

The food reel has received more than 2 lakh likes and 5.4 million views since it first appeared on Instagram in early June. Many people expressed their eagerness to try and taste the delicacy in the hundreds of comments that were posted.

One of the users said, he can’t control himself from tasting it. Another said, this rainy season she is definitely going to cook this dish. However, some sections of users who were concerned about their health were not happy with this new fusion. Comments like, the dish is a total waste of money, and too many unhealthy calories to consume, were also flooded all over the internet.

The actor further highlighted the significance of each vote and encouraged people to seize this chance to make their voices heard. The Bollywood superstar took to X and posted that as responsible Indian citizens they must exercise their right to vote this Monday in Maharashtra. He urged his fans to carry out their duty as Indians and vote keeping India’s best interests in mind.

Superstar Salman Khan also urged people to vote in his post on X and wrote that he exercises 365 days a year no matter what and now he is going to exercise his right to vote on the 20th of May no matter what. He asked his fans to take out time from their daily routines and go and cast their vote. He said they should not trouble our Bharat Mata and wrote Bharat Mata ki Jai.

Bollywood star Neil Nitin Mukesh also urged people to come out in large numbers and exercise their right to vote in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. Urging his fans to vote, he shared a video in which he said that his daughter told him about a holiday on Monday. In Maharashtra, 13 constituencies— Dindori, Dhule, Palghar, Nashik, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, Mumbai North, Thane, Mumbai North-East, Mumbai North-West, Mumbai South-Central, Mumbai North-Central, and Mumbai South—will go to the elections tomorrow.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Chennai Super Kings by 27 runs

Royal Challengers Bengaluru reached the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2024 with a 27-run win over Chennai Super Kings at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday. RCB made 218 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs before restricting Chennai Super Kings to a total of 191 runs for the loss of 7 wickets to secure the 4th and final spot in the playoff race and will the contest the eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad!

Earlier, Faf du Plessis hit 54 runs off 39 deliveries while Virat Kohli played a crucial knock of 47 runs off 29 deliveries. Rajat Patidar (41 runs off 23 balls) and Cameron Green was 38 not out off 17 deliveries which helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s cause. In reply, Chennai Super Kings could only manage 191 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

The Chennai Super Kings came within touching distance. They needed 10 off the last two deliveries to qualify with Ravindra Jadeja, the batsman who had hit a 6 and 4 to win Chennai Super Kings in their 5th title last year, on strike. But Yash Dayal bowled two off-pace length deliveries to deny Jadeja and Chennai Super Kings.

This was after he was hit for a massive six on the 1st ball of the last over by Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Yash Dayal then used his back-of-the-hand slower one to have him caught at deep square leg. The Chennai Super Kings not only lost the game but also failed to reach the 201-run mark, they needed to enter playoffs.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh returned home on 17 May after going missing on April 22. The Delhi Police has recorded his statement in the court and said Singh had gone away from home on a spiritual journey.

The Delhi Police started searching for the TV actor on April 22. The 51-year-old actor had to board a flight from Delhi to Mumbai on April 22 evening but he never reached his destination. His father, who lives in Palam, informed the local police after his phone was found not reachable. About 12 nos police teams, including the Crime Branch and Special Cell, were working to locate Gurucharan Singh.

The police had closely monitored his financial transactions from his bank accounts and credit cards. According to reports, the last transaction was of Rs 14,000, which he withdrew from one of his bank accounts on the day he went missing.

CCTV footage recorded from the day Gurucharan Singh disappeared showed him walking with a bag on his back. The police also visited some states like Haryana, Punjab, and Uttarakhand to get any leads in connection with the case. A few days earlier a police officer told the media that Gurucharan Singh had once shown his interest in going to the Himalayas for meditation. During the investigation it was revealed that Singh was in financial trouble with many loans and dues.

His father, Hargit Singh, filed a missing complaint on April 26, which led to an FIR under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). His father said that he did not have any idea about his son’s financial troubles. He said Gurucharan Singh never shared anything with him. As a result Hargit Singh was not aware of this. During his religious journey, Gurucharan Singh visited Gurudwaras in many cities like Ludhiana and Amritsar. The police said afterwards, he decided to return home.
