Veteran actor Nana Patekar triggered massive outrage on social media after a video of him went viral on X, formerly Twitter. The actor recently made headlines for making his Hindi film comeback after six years in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Vaccine War. However, this time he caught the limelight for all wrong reasons.
In the video that went viral across the social media platform, the veteran actor could be seen slapping a fan who came to him for a selfie. The actor was reportedly shooting for filmmaker Anil Sharma’s next project in Varanasi. Later in the video, a man from the actor’ team can be seen holding the neck of the fan and pushing him away from Nana Patekar. The Vaccine War actor was wearing a cowboy hat and a suit paired with a blazer.
This entire episode angered the netizens who slammed the actor for his misappropriate attitude. Sharing the video, a X (formerly Twitter) user wrote that Nana Patekar slapped fans who came to take selfies during the film shooting. Terming the incident shameful, she questioned what kind of pride is expressed only on the poor. The video shared on Wednesday morning was circulated widely gathering thousands of views. Reacting to the video, social media users said that this situation has become very common in Bollywood.
The veteran actor who made a comeback with The Vaccine War after six years is also a MeToo accused. Actress Tanushree Dutta had lodged a sexual harassment case against him during the MeToo movement that took place in 2018.
In Vivek Agnihotri’s film, The Vaccine War, Nana Patekar played the role of DR. Balram Bhargava, Director-General of Indian Council of Medical Research. Meanwhile, Nana Patekar is likely to make his OTT debut soon with “Laal Batti’, a political thriller directed by Prakash Jha.

The film starring Sandeep Reddy Vanga has been in theatres for a week. On its eighth day, it brought in an astounding Rs 23.34 crore in India, increasing its total receipts to Rs 362.11 crore.
Apart from its the nation’s triumph, Animal, which starred Ranbir Kapoor, made an astounding Rs 563 crore globally, barely behind Sanju, another film starring Kapoor, by a few lakhs.
With worldwide receipts surpassing Rs 587 crore, Sanju became the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2018. It is currently the 16th highest-grossing Indian film of all time and has earned the distinction of being the fifth highest-earning Hindi film in India.

Sam Bahadur is biopic of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw. His career in the Indian army spanned over 40 years and five wars. He was the first Indian army officer who was promoted to the rank of Field Marshal. The film pays tribute to Manekshaw and his contribution to the Indian armed forces and the country at large.
