Watch: Akshay Kumar as Lord Shiva, OMG 2 teaser out, film to release on August 11

Taking to social media, today the makers of the film have unveiled the teaser of the film in which Akshay Kumar is seen in an impressive look of Lord Shiva.

OMG 2, starring  Akshay Kumar, and Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, is the most anticipated movie of 2023. It is a follow-up to the popular 2012 film Oh My God starring Akshay and Paresh Rawal and was written and directed by Amit Rai. Akshay and the entire team teased fans with first-look posters of the film on social media, a while back.

Taking to social media, today the makers of the film have unveiled the teaser of the film in which Akshay Kumar is seen in an impressive look of Lord Shiva. The film is all set to hit the theaters on August 11, 2023.

The teaser opens with a powerful voiceover by Pankaj Tripathi and the first-movie stills of Akshay and Paresh Rawal. After this scene, Pankaj Tripathi and his family are seen in the film suffering through difficult circumstances, and that is when Akshay as Lord Shiva, enters their lives. Akshay says powerful dialogue in Hindi which is Rakh vishwas tu hai shiva ka das, to Pankaj in one of the scenes as he stands outside the court.

However, Yami is not depicted in the teaser, as the producers decided to keep her a secret. Last week, Yami revealed her look from OMG 2 on Instagram.

On working on OMG 2 she said, Akshay is a really wonderful producer and someone who is very passionate about this film as well. She said, she could tell from the narrative that he really wants to succeed with the proper group of people. Of course, I took advantage of whatever opportunity I had to collaborate with the amazing actor Pankaj Tripathi, the actor added. Yami said, with the new writing, there is another viewpoint that is very pertinent, discussed, but not discussed.

The hard-hitting social comedy seems to be the ideal fusion of amusement, drama, and feelings. According to reports, it features Govind Namdev, who also appeared in OMG, and Arun Govil as Lord Rama.

Meanwhile, in theatres, OMG 2 will compete alongside Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel.

Pooja Bhatt reunites with Suniel Shetty after 27 years for Lionsgate India’s new project

After a 27-year break, border actors Suniel Shetty and Pooja Bhatt are getting back together. Pooja excited fans who were hoping to see them on screen together again. The actor, who made a comeback with Bombay Begum was recently seen in Bigg Boss 17, where she came to support Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Mannara Chopra.

Pooja Bhatt informed her fans of the news on social media while releasing the first picture from the project. The Title of this project is yet to announce.

Sharing the first image from the project, Pooja said a glimpse from her next project with Lionsgate India. Looking forward to working with you again Suniel Shetty, she added.

Suniel Shetty responded to her post in the comment section as soon as she shared it. The Dhadkan actor complimented her as he said looking good, Pooja. The pleasure is entirely his. Looking  forward, he added.

Fans were excited when Pooja Bhatt posted the project’s first image on Instagram. In the picture, which she shared, the actor can be seen wearing a black full-neck blouse and a basic black saree with a wide golden border. The picture seems to show her in a serious mood. The Sadak actor was spotted holding a white towel and had a shoulder-length haircut.

Meanwhile, for this project, Pooja and Suniel Shetty are working together again after 27 years. Their first joint venture was in the popular film Border, which was helmed by J.P. Dutta. The events of the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War serve as the backdrop for this classic film. In addition to Pooja Bhatt and Sunil Shelly, the film also stars Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry, and Puneet Issar in key roles. While, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatta, and Sharbani Mukherjee were in supporting roles in the film.

Bollywood veteran actor Dharmendra blessed renowned action director Mohan Baggad’s son actor Sonu Baggad, who is debuting in the Punjabi film industry with Travel Agent.

The Baljinder Singh Sidhu-helmed film had a muhurat ceremony yesterday, which was attended by Ranjeet, Gulshan Grover, Johny Lever, and Avatar Gill among others. The event took place at Sunny Super Sound in Mumbai, marking the beginning of the film, which is is produced by Satwinder Singh Matharoo.

On the auspicious occasion, Dharmedra, who considers Sonu as his nephew, expressed his joy by saying, he is attending Mahurat ceremony to bless Sonu Baggad for his debut film. He felt very good, the Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani actor said. Sonu is talented and is starting his journey with a Punjabi film, he added. Dharmendra also expressed the desire to work with Sonu as he said, if there is a role for him in this film, he will definitely do it.

The story of Sonu Baggad’s Punjabi film Travel Agent revolves around the theme of many Punjabi people leaving their home and migrating to abroad for work. They leave behind their parents, families, and farming to work hard in foreign lands. The film aims to convey the message for the youth to serve their homeland, parents, and engage in farming while residing in their own country. The shooting for this film will soon begin in Punjab and Uttarakhand.

Travel Agent is produced under the banner of Gobind Films Creation Private Limited, with the collaboration of U.B.S. Productions. The music of the film has been composed by Gurmeet Singh, while the action director is Mohan Singh Baggad, and cinematography is Najib Khan.

The star cast of the film includes Sonu Baggad, Poonam Sood, Prabh Grewal, Gaggu Gill, Shavinder Mahal, Vijay Tandon, Avatar Gill, Jatinder Kaur (Rose), Ranjeet Riyaz, Nitu Pandher, Paramjeet Khaneja, R.P. Singh, and Jugnu.

Aamir Khan’s Sarfarosh completes 25 years, special screening to be held in Mumbai

With some of the greatest hits and blockbusters in film history, Aamir Khan is undoubtably one of the biggest superstars in the country. Now Aamir Khan’s 1999 release Sarfarosh celebrated its 25th anniversary on April 30, 2024.

Aamir Khan, his co-star Sonali Bendre, and other cast members will attend a special screening of the movie in Mumbai to mark the event.

Sarfarosh will have a special screening at PVR Juhu in Mumbai on Friday, May 10, 2024. Along with Mukesh Rishi, Naseeruddin Shah, Makarad Deshpandey, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajesh Joshi, Smita Jaykar, Manoj Joshi, Upasna Singh, Surekha Sikri, Akhilendra Mishra, Akash Khurana, and many other, the film’s director John Matthew Matthan and music director Lalit Pandit will attend the event.

Aamir Khan’s 1999 film Sarfarosh is undeniably one of his best-loved productions, while some fans may have been too young when it was released in the theatres. Sarfarosh discusses issues like arms trafficking and cross-border terrorism, it was undoubtedly a groundbreaking movie.

In the film, after terrorists assault Aamir Khan’s family, he gives up on his medical education to play a vengeful police officer. Under the pseudonym Ajay Singh Rathod, he penetrates their network.

Khan has to negotiate a violent and perilous world of guns traffickers while working undercover with a tough Mumbai police officer, portrayed by Naseeruddin Shah. Action-packed and suspenseful, Sarfarosh delves into issues of sacrifice, patriotism, and the war against terrorism.

John Matthew Matthan, the director of Sarfarosh, stated in a recent interview that he stopped directing movies after a few because he wasn’t enjoying the process. However, he now wants to return with Sarfarosh 2.

In the same interview, the director revealed that he met Aamir Khan last week on the 25 anniversary of Sarfarosh, where the two decided to host a small get-together and do a special screening of the film for the cast and crew.
