Director Rohit Shetty took to Instagram on Tuesday and shared the highly anticipated trailer teaser of Aayush Sharma’s upcoming film Ruslaan. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 26, 2024.

Talking about the teaser, Aayush Sharma thanked Rohit Shetty for his support. He said being endorsed by the action maverick Rohit Shetty feels like a validation. He said Rohit Shetty knows the audience’s pulse. Sharma said this tells him that they are doing something right with Ruslaan. He said Shetty’s support means the world to them.

Earlier Aayush Mishra took to Instagram and treated fans to the new poster with a teaser announcement. Sharing the poster he wrote Haarney ka khauf nahi hai, meri gun aur guitar ke saath, bas duniya jeetney ka josh ha…. toofan hi hun main.  The poster shows Aayush Sharma’s intense gaze, his eye almost pierced by a menacing knife.

Aayush Sharma made his debut in the Hindi Film industry with the film Loveyatri and starred opposite Warina Hussain in the year 2018. The film was produced by Salman Khan and directed by Abhiraj Maniawala. The film had a lackluster performance at the box office. His recent appearance was in 2021 in the film Antim where he shared the screen space with Salman Khan.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.
