Actress- author Twinkle Khanna launched her new book Welcome to Paradise with Karan Johar at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on November 29, 2023. Welcome to paradise is a collection of short stories which are centred around women who are at the crossroads in their lives dealing with themes of loneliness, marriage, love etc.

The stories are written in Twinkle Khanna’s trademark style of wit and humour. These stories pay tribute to Twinkle’s Ismaili nani and the world she inhabited. Talking about her book Twinkle Khanna said Welcome to Paradise is a collection of stories which explore depths of heartbreak, relationships and deception. And it does have pigs and penises as promised among all the love, lust, laughter and loneliness.

The event hosted by Karan Johar who entertained Twinkle with his signature wit. He even dropped some truth bombs. Twinkle was in conversation with Karan Johar at the book launch event. Book readings were done by actors Shabana Azmi, Kiara Advani and Vidya Balan.

The book launch was attended by Twinkle’s friends and family such as Akshay Kumar, Dimple Kapadia, Jackie Shroff, Rinke Khanna, Sameer Saran, Tahira Kashyap Khurana, Sonali Bendre, Simone Khan, Nandita Mahtani, Homi Adajania, Dabboo Ratnani, Farah Khan Ali, Lilete Dubey, Karan Kapadia, Gayatri Oberoi, Harsh Goenka, Tanya Deol, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Abhishek and Pragya Kapoor and Anu Dewan.

As the floor opened for the audience to ask questions Akshay Kumar asked Twinkle that her book focuses only on women, does that make men irrelevant. Twinkle replied by asking is dessert irrelevant?

Akshay Kumar took to Instagram and posted a picture of Twinkle holding her book at the launch event, flashing a million dollar smile. Akshay captioned the picture and wrote proud, prouder, proudest. That’s how you make me feel, whether it is to take up writing, going back to the university in your 40’s or defying age and norms every chance you get. And today you are launching your new book.  

Vijay Varma and Tamannah Bhatia, who have come out in open about their relationship have been seen together at social events. The Bollywood couple was seen and clicked by the media outside a restaurant in Mumbai as the couple stepped out for a dinner date.

In the video going viral on social media Tamannaah was seen wearing Vijay’s coat as the couple acknowledged the media while walking hand in hand towards their car. The video 22,085 likes on instagram. Recently Vijay discussed his marriage intentions and disclosed that he hasn’t given an answer to his mother yet.

He said no girl wanted him to get married. The actor acknowledged his mother is persistently asking him about it. Vijay said he managed to evade the question as he was doing so well in his life. Tamannaah told that Vijay was her happy place. She said she looked up to him. She said she bonded with him very organically.

According to reports Tamannah Bhatia is facing pressure from her parents to get married. The actress has not taken up any new projects after Bhalaa Shankar and the Kaavaalaa song in Rajnikanth’s film Jailer. Earlier talking to the media, Tamanaah had said marriage is a very big responsibility. She said marriage is not a party it takes a lot of work. She said when she felt she is ready for a responsibility like that she is going to do it. Reports suggest that the couple is planning to get married soon.

The actor was last seen in Aakhri Sach along with Abhishek Banerjee. The series is based on Burari deaths. She will be next seen in Aranmnai 4. Vijay was last seen in the OTT series Jaane Jaan, Kaalkoot, Lust stories 2 and Dahaad. His next release is Homi Adjania’s Murder Mubarak, where he will be seen along with Pankaj Tripathi.

Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram married in a traditional Meitei ceremony in Imphal on Wednesday. For the wedding Randeep wore a traditional white kurta with yellow headgear (koyet). Randeep was seen wearing a white shawl .Lin was in a potloi (also known as polloi) with a heavy blouse and lots of gold jewellery. A polloi is a cylindrical skirt made of thick cloth and bamboo. Lin was dressed as a traditional Manipuri bride.  The wedding took place at Chumthang Sanapung resort in Imphal. They reached city on November 27 and sought blessings at a local temple a day before the wedding.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju congratulated Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram on their wedding in Imphal, Manipur. He shared a video from the wedding on X(formerly Twitter). He captioned the video Congratulations to Randeep Hooda (from Haryana) and Lin Laishram (from Manipur)! The amazing couple solemnized their marriage in a very traditional Meitei wedding ceremony in Imphal, Manipur. May your love may grow stronger with each passing year.

Many Bollywood celibrities like Priyanka Chopra, Neena Gupta, Sayani Gupta, Vijay Verma and Aahana Kumra wished the couple. Priyanka took to Instagram and wrote congratulations and so much love (red heart emoji) .Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram shared their wedding photos on Instagram on Wednesday. They captioned the post from today we are one (heart and infinity emoji). Just married.

Neena Gupta wrote congratulations. Actor Sayani Gupta who had worked with Lin in the film Axone (2019), commented the picture was absolutely breathtaking. She said she had never seen a more stunning bride. She prayed both of them stay blessed and gave her love to the couple. Producer Guneet Monga said mega congratulations to both of you to lifetime of togetherness and love. Aahana Kumra said this is the loveliest couple and said congratulations Lin Laishram and Randeep Hooda.
