West Bengal’s Triparna Chakraborty wins Rs 6 lakh in sleeping contest, crowned first sleep champion of India

Who would have guessed that sleeping could make you famous overnight? Yes, you read it right. A girl from West Bengal made a new record for sleeping and won a whopping amount of Rs 6 lakh.

Reports say Triparna Chakraborty, a resident of Srirampur, has a long history of falling asleep regardless of any circumstance. A nationwide sleep competition was held and 4.5 lakh applicants submitted their applications. A total of 15 competitors were chosen among them. Only four competitors made it to the finals.

Triparna left all the competitors behind and won was crowned the first Sleep Champion of India. Reports also say she slept for 9 hours continuously for 100 days.

In the all-India level competition, each candidate received a mattress and a sleep tracker. All of them were asked to show their sleep ability and Triparna won the title by sleeping for nine consecutive hours.

She bagged six cheques of Rs 1 lakh each as a reward.

The first Sleep Champion of India currently works for a multinational company in America and continues to work from home she managed this by working late at night and getting sleep during the day. Through a website, Triparna came to know about this competition.

After bagging the whopping amount, Triparna has now decided to fulfil her and her family’s needs, reports said.

For the unversed, the sleeping competition was organised by home and sleep solutions company, Wakefit.

The competition criteria required the participants to sleep for nine straight hours and based on factors including sleep length, awake time, light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep, Triparna spotted the first position with a 95% sleep efficiency rate.

Last year, 15 applicants were chosen from throughout the nation for the Wakefit Sleep Internship Season 2: Batch of 2021. After sleeping for 100 days, the remaining 15 contestants each got INR 1 lakh, while Triparna took the grand prize home.

The unique Coca-Cola edition Realme phone will undoubtedly be on sale the following week. The manufacturer of smartphones unveiled the forthcoming phone’s design and announced its launch in a video teaser. The Realme 10 Pro 5G, which debuted in December 2022, will be the upcoming Coca-Cola limited edition phone. The phone is believed to have the same functionality as the Realme 10 Pro 5G, save from the unique Coca-Cola appearance. The smartphone has a 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 680 nits. The phone has a 5,000mAh battery inside and is powered by a Snapdragon 695 SoC.

A teaser video posted by the company on its Twitter account revealed the launch date and design of the Realme Coca-Cola special edition phone for India. On February 10 at 12:30 PM, the phone will be unveiled in India. In essence, it is a limited-edition Realme 10 Pro 5G. The business teased the phone’s appearance, showing off the red and black dual-tone rear panel with Coca-Cola and Realme branding.

The Realme 10 Pro 5G Coca-Cola special edition phone is rumoured to be coming soon, and tipster says it will be released exclusively in India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia. Additionally, he claims that other than the look, the phone will be identical to the Realme 10 Pro 5G in every way.

Alongside the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G, the Realme 10 Pro 5G was introduced in December 2022. The phone has a 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 680 nits. It is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 SoC built using a 6nm process.

The Realme 10 Pro 5G has a 108-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor as part of its optics. The phone has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. It is powered by Android 13 with Realme UI 4.0. Additionally, it has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast wired charging.

At the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event on Wednesday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. Instead of using Samsung’s own Exynos chipsets, the new flagship series uses a bespoke Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. The CPU and GPU cores on this special Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC are overclocked. Late last year, the 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC was released. The Samsung Galaxy S22 range used its predecessor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, although some devices in some markets used Samsung’s Exynos 2200 SoC.

The “Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy” is the name of Qualcomm’s most recent SoC, which is found in the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The upgraded chip has been optimised for AI, gaming, and graphic capabilities unique to the latest Samsung smartphones.

Additionally, a newer Qualcomm Adreno GPU is included for real-time hardware-accelerated ray-tracing effects while playing video games. According to the business, the processor has camera functions including 200-megapixel photo capture, multi-frame noise reduction, and ultra-low-light video recording.

At the Galaxy Unpacked event in 2023, the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones were announced. The Samsung Galaxy S23’s starting pricing in India is Rs. 74,999, while that of the Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra is Rs. 94,999 and Rs. 1,34,999, respectively. They will be offered in the country beginning on February 17.

The film is directed by Siddharth Anand, and apart from Shahrukh Khan, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone are in lead roles. It has been 8 days since the film was released and it has destroyed many records.

The film has collected a total of Rs 667 crore at the worldwide box office within eight days. Pathaan’s producer Yash Raj Films said on Thursday that Shah Rukh Khan starrer has earned Rs 18.25 crore in India on its eighth day, including Rs 17.50 crore in Hindi and Rs 75 lakh in dubbed versions.
