You must have heard of this dialogue from Jab We Met when Aditya (Shahid Kapoor) asks Geet (Kareena Kapoor) why she is playing with her life, to which Geet replies, “Kyunki Zindagi Se Khelna Mera Favourite Game Hai.” And a girl from Florida has taken this dialogue way too seriously.

People can go to any extent to fulfill their wishes and get famous. One such incident has gone viral where a woman who was caught speeding informed police that getting arrested had been on her bucket list since high school. A photo of the accused was shared online by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Janiya Shaimiracle Douglas was detained on Card Sound Road in Florida on May 12th for speeding. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest on their official Facebook page, adding that getting arrested was on the bucket list of a 19-year-old driver.

Wait, that is not the end of the story. After being arrested, Janiya allegedly attempted to flee from a deputy. She later revealed that escaping and eluding had been on her bucket list since high school.

The teenager was charged with fleeing and escaping. Several netizens were understandably taken aback by the teenager’s strange bucket list desires.

People were quick to respond to the bizarre bucket list explanation, with one noting, I’m frightened to know what else is on her bucket list. Others were perplexed by the bucket list, saying, It’s difficult to comprehend why a young woman wants to be locked up, have a record, appear before a judge, and pay money to the court and insurance company.

Another person commented on the young driver, saying, Since high school? She just graduated a year ago.

Gujarat Assembly Election results tomorrow: BJP set to sweep polls, say exit polls

According to the Election Commission of India, approximately 58.68 per cent of polling was recorded till 5 pm in the second phase of voting.

Results of the elections to the Gujarat Assembly will be out on December 8, Thursday. The second and last phase concluded on Elections 2022 concluded on December 5. The first phase of voting took place on December 1.

According to the Election Commission of India, approximately 58.68 per cent of polling was recorded till 5 pm in the second phase of voting.

For the seventh consecutive year, the Bharatiya Janata Party is likely to clean sweep in Gujarat, exit polls predicted. The News X-Jan Ki Baat Exit Polls 2022 says BJP will win 117-140 seats while Congress+NCP will secure 34-51 seats and AAP is likely to win 6-13 seats.

Exit Polls of TV9 Gujarati predicted BJP to win 125-130 seats, Congress+NCP 40-50 seats, and AAP 3-5 seats. The Republic- P-MARQ exit polls had BJP winning between 128-148 seats, Congress+NCP 30-42 seats, and AAP 2-10 seats.

The Times Now-ETG exit polls say the BJP is likely to win 131 seats, the Congress+NCP is expected to secure 41 seats, and AAP is likely to win 6 seats.

Prominent seats in the second phase of voting were Viramgam from where Hardik Patel is contesting on the BJP ticket, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s Ghatlodia in Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar South from where BJP’s Alpesh Thakor is contesting.

For those unversed, exit polls are surveys carried out by media organisations outside the polling booths through sampling methods to forecast the likely results of the elections before the final outcome is declared. The counting of votes for the Gujarat Assembly polls will be conducted on December 8.

Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party fielded candidates in all 16 seats this year while Congress is contesting in 90 seats and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has pitted candidates in 2 seats.

Reports said around 833 candidates contested across the 93-seat polling for the second phase of voting in the state. These are prominent seats for the Bharatiya Janata Party which has dominated for almost three decades now.

This year, Gujarat witnessed a three-way tough fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party, Aam Aadmi Party, and Congress. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also cast their votes and PM Modi also urged people to step out to vote.

Reports said the first phase of the Gujarat Assembly polls saw low turnout with a 34.7 per cent turnout was recorded till 1 pm on December 1.

The Exit Polls hint at a clean sweep for the ruling BJP in the Gujarat Assembly election as according to Aaj Tak-Axis My India the saffron party is at 140 and the grand old party is trailing behind at 23, the Aam Aadmi Party has predicted to have performed poorly as they are at 15.

As per the ABP News-Cvoter, the BJP is again sweeping the election at 134 as opposed to Congress, who are at Congress 37 as per exit polls; the Aam Aadmi Party is also falling behind at just 7.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took a dig at Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Kota, Rajasthan and said Lok Sabha TV only shows the speaker’s face throughout.

Speaking during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kota, Congress MP said his party want to speak on demonetisation, GST, or China issue in the Parliament, however, their mics are turned off and the camera never comes towards them.

Further, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot said the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been taken out to save the country, its constitution, and democracy.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi resumed his Bharat Jodo Yatra on its 91st day on December 7 and marched towards Kota from Darra Station Ganesh Mandir. The yatra started from Darra station in the Sangod area which is represented by Congress MLA Bharat Singh. Rahul Gandhi also interacted with students studying in coaching centres in Kota.

The Yatra was joined by Congress’ General Secretary in-charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala, Sachin Pilot, and social activist Aruna Roy. Rahul Gandhi also interacted with padayatra on his way to Kota.

Meanwhile, the Winter Session of Parliament began on Wednesday and will continue till December 29. Reports said the Centre’s agenda for this session includes 16 new bills.

Some of the bills scheduled for introduction in the Winter Session of Parliament are the Trade Marks (Amendment) Bill, 2022, the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) (Amendment) Bill, 2022 and The Repealing and Amending Bill, 2022. The Repealing and Amending Bill, of 2022 will seek to repeal redundant and obsolete laws, reports said.

On Tuesday, Union Minister Rajnath Singh chaired an all-party meeting to seek cooperation from all parties for the smooth functioning of the session. Leader of the House in Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi were also present in the meeting, reports further said.

The second match of the 3-match ODI series between India and Bangladesh is being played in Dhaka. Bangladesh skipper decided to bat first after winning the toss at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.

In the first match of this series, India had to face defeat by a margin of one wicket. Team India would like to win this match and equalize the series but host Bangladesh are in no mood to let the series slip of their hands.

First they set a target of 272 runs for India to chase and now the host are making Indian batter beg for single runs. In three overs, Men in Blue have just made just 13 runs, plus the team has lost its most precious wickets of opener Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.

Mehidy Hasan! Man of the moment

Batting first, Bangladesh has set a target of 272 runs in front of India. Mehidy Hasan scored a fine century for Bangladesh. At the same time, Mahmudullah played a brilliant inning of 77 runs. Both of them shared a record partnership of 148 runs for the seventh wicket. In the end, Nasum Ahmed scored 18 runs in 11 balls to take his team’s score beyond 250 runs.

Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh did not have a good start. Enamul Haque got out after scoring just 11 runs. By this time Captain Liton Das could not even open his account. He then shared a 28-run partnership with Najmul Hasan Shanto, but Liton Das was also dismissed after scoring seven runs in 23 balls. After this, Bangladesh team kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Shanto at 21, Shakib Al Hasan at 8, Mushfiqur Rahim at 12 and Afif Hussain was dismissed without opening the account.

In 19 overs, Bangladesh had lost six wickets on the score of 69 runs. The Indian bowlers were in excellent touch with Washington Sundar taking three wickets. Siraj took two and Umran took one wicket. All the bowlers bowled economically, but after that Mehdi and Mahmudullah turned the match around. There was a 148-run partnership between the two for the seventh wicket. The pair first batted slowly to put on a half-century partnership and then scored quickly. These two took Bangladesh’s score from 69 to 217.

Skipper Rohit Sharma is retired hurt

Indian captain Rohit Sharma was injured while fielding in the second over of this match. He has injured his thumb. Bangladesh’s Enamul Haque gave an easy catch in the slip off Siraj’s ball, but Rohit could not catch it properly. The ball hit his thumb and soon blood started to flow out. He immediately left the field and was taken to the hospital for the scan. Rajat Patidar was seen fielding in his place. At the same time, Lokesh Rahul was captaining Team India.

Rohit’s injury has added to India’s woes as the skipper did not turn up for opening the Indian innings. The absence of captain Rohit can prove to be a big blow for India. However, it is not yet clear how serious Rohit’s injury is.
