He played his last series against India, seemingly a country which has become Pollard’s second home due to his long association with the most successful team of IPL, Mumbai Indians. Kieron Pollard played around 123 ODIs and 101 T20 matches for West Indies. And He scored 2706 ODI runs with the average of 26, with 55 wickets. On the other front, in T20 internationals, he scored 1569 runs at an average of over 25 and also took 44 wickets.

Yes! Pollard has three centuries in ODIs, but he was never the same player for West Indies as he has been for Mumbai Indians. Reason being the West Indies cricket’s financial crunch that burdened Pollard to realize his priorities. And probably that’s the reason for Pollard not being at his best while representing his national side.
