Former RCB skipper Virat Kohli has showered praise on Rajat Patidar after the his sensational match-winning century against Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022 Eliminator on Wednesday at Kolkata’s Eden Garden.

Following the game, Kohli interviewed Patidar and lavished praise on his match-winning knock. He has seen many impact innings and many innings under pressure over so many years but have not seen many better than how Rajat played today, he said.

The batter raced away to his fifty off 28 balls and scored his next fifty off just 21 balls to reach his century in 49 deliveries.

The RCB’s replacement player Rajat Patidar hit an unbeaten 112 to become the first uncapped player in the history of IPL to score a century in the play-offs.

With the help of his stunning knock, RCB recovered from 86 for 3 and posted a massive total of 207 for 4.

After this win, RCB is two win away from their first ever IPL title and the franchise will face Rajasthan Rooyals on Friday in the Qualifier 2 at Gujarat’s Narendra Modi Stadium. However, the winners will take on Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2022 final after two days at the same venue.

The Rajasthan Royals have not made it to the final of the IPL since 2008 while RCB last played in the final in 2016. The Royals have won the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League in 2008.

Royals had lost to Gujarat Titans in the Qualifier 1 and will have another chance to play IPL 2022 final after winning Qualifier 2.
