Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap today announced that he will not fly IndiGo till their ban on comedian Kunal Kamra is revoked. According to the 47-year old director, who was travelling from Mumbai to Kolkata to attend an event was booked on IndiGo by the organisers.

The director, however, took an early morning Vistara flight to Kolkata and landed seven hours before the event in the city, instead of taking an afternoon IndiGo that he was earlier booked on.

“I was booked on IndiGo by the organisers to come to Dum Dum… After Kamra was banned, I told the organisers I will not fly IndiGo. I told them I will not fly this airline because I thought the ban was very unreasonable,” Kashyap was qouted saying to The Telegraph.

“My thing is: there is nothing I can do about it. It does not make much of a difference. But as I wanted to register my dissent, I thought that I would not fly IndiGo. I want to fly Vistara. The IndiGo flight was on Monday afternoon and the Vistara flight was in the morning. They (the organisers) informed (me) that to fly Vistara, you have to wake up at 4am. I said, ‘I will wake up at 4am, but I will not fly IndiGo’,” Anurag Kashyap said.

On January 29, comedian Kunal Kamra was was suspended from flying by IndiGo, Air India, SpiceJet and GoAir for allegedly heckling journalist Arnab Goswami on one of IndiGo planes. The airline had said the artist’s behaviour on its flight 6E 5317 was “unacceptable”.

Rohit Mateti, The pilot in command on the Indigo flight, wrote a letter to the airline stating that the airline should have consulted him before banning the comedian.

Kamra has filed a legal notice to IndiGo seeking an unconditional apology from the airline as well as monetary compensation of 25 lakh  for causing him “mental pain and agony”.

Diljit Dosanjh recently thrilled fans across the globe by sharing a vibrant video featuring him dancing alongside Hollywood superstar Will Smith. Posted on X (formerly Twitter), the footage captures the duo energetically moving to the infectious beats of the dhol, with Smith enthusiastically joining in on the bhangra action.

This exciting collaboration, presented as a joint effort by the “GOAT” singer, exploded on social media, drawing a flurry of reactions from fans amazed by the unexpected pairing.

In the video, Dosanjh sports a classic white kurta-pyjama paired with a red turban, while Smith complements the scene in a laid-back blue tracksuit and orange sneakers. The Hollywood icon can be seen attempting the lively bhangra steps, syncing up with Dosanjh to the pulsating background music.

This viral moment follows a series of online exchanges between the two earlier this year. Back in February, Smith had praised Dosanjh’s track “Tension” from his Advisory EP with a fiery “Fire!” comment, to which Dosanjh replied affectionately, calling him “Big Brother.” Their digital camaraderie began when Smith started following the Indian star on Instagram in August 2024.

The newly shared video marks their first known face-to-face collaboration. Dosanjh captioned it with enthusiasm, writing, “PANJABI Aa Gaye Oye. With One & Only LIVING LEGEND @willsmith,” showcasing his appreciation for Smith’s embrace of Punjabi music and culture.

Currently, Dosanjh is gearing up for the release of “Punjab 95,” a biographical drama about activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, and is also set to appear in “Border 2,” alongside Ahan Shetty, Sunny Deol, and Varun Dhawan.

Will Smith is staging a major comeback in music with his latest album, “Based on a True Story,” which dropped on March 28—his first release in two decades since “Lost and Found.” The album includes hits like “You Can Make It” and “Work of Art,” featuring his son Jaden, and touches on his reflections from the 2022 Oscars controversy.

Additionally, Smith is slated to headline at France’s Positiv Festival in July and launch a summer tour across Europe and the UK. On the film front, he’s actively involved in “Bad Boys 4” and “I Am Legend 2,” marking a robust resurgence.
