Next-gen Mahindra Scorpio N unveiled, bookings to open on July 30

The Indian car menufacturer Mahindra has finally unveiled its much-awaited and feature-loaded king-size SUV Scorpio N today. The firm has introduced the vehicle in five variants – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L. Company said. it will not discontinue the old version of the vehicle, which means customers still can purchase the old-generation Scorpio.

The company also confirmed that interested customers will be able to add-to-cart option for the new Scorpio N from 5 July, while the booking will start from 30 July. Customers can expect the vehicle’s deliveries during the festive season.

The SUV now comes with a new Mahindra logo on the steering wheel as well as on the front grills too. Scorpio N includes the signature six-slat grille with chrome inserts, the latest LED projector headlamps, C-shaped LED DRLs with fog lights, contrast-colored roof rails, new dual-tone alloy wheels and much more aggressive skid plates with vertically LED lights at the back. The car also gets an integrated spoiler and a shark-fin antenna.

Talking about the engine and power, the updated Scorpio features a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo-petrol engine, which will generate 200bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. While its 2.0-litre diesel engine will generater a 130bhp power. Both the engines will come with six-speed manual and automatic transmissions.

As far as the features are concerned, 2022 Scorpio comes with an electric sunroof, drive modes, dual-zone climate control, updated touchscreen infotainment system, AdrenoX connected car technology, and a Sony-sourced music system.

During the launch event, they claimed that they have put the extra effort in order to provide great safety to the customers. The update Scorpio will be a big game changer in the segment.

The leading car manufacturer Morris Garage (MG) which has marked the top position in the Indian market in just a few years, credit goes to Hector. Now the firm is all set to drop another bomb on all car enthusiasts. With the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country, the firm will unveil its feature-loaded and updated version of the ZS electric vehicle on December 5. Yes, you read it right.

According to the reports and some official information by the firm, it has revealed that the upcoming MG ZS EV will feature a 50.3 kWh battery pack that will provide slightly more range as compared to the ongoing variant. It has been claimed by the firm that the EV will provide a range of 461 km on a single charge. And, it can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 8.5.

As far as power is concerned, the customers can expect 174bhp and 353Nm of peak torque.

Launched at the starting price of Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom), the ZS EV then and now holds a special space in the Indian auto market. Amid this, it has been expected that the upcoming mid-size SUV after the launch likely to give tough competition to Hyundai’s feature-loaded Kona which was launched in 2019 at the starting price of Rs. 23.84 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Meanwhile, apart from this, the UK-based car manufacturer also planning to drop the facelift version of MG Astor. Ahead of its official, the patent images have been leaked on all the digital platforms, revealing some of its exterior looks.

According to the leaked images, it can be seen that the upcoming vehicle will come with some noticeable changes. The mid-size SUV will have a completely new front fascia. It also features a new grille and headlamp setup, which is making the vehicle more aggressive and appealing.

The RE electric motorcycle’s leaked images which have surfaced on the internet hinted that the upcoming Himalayan range is likely to share the signature styling so that customers will able to recognize the vehicle(especially the front end).

In the photos, a respectable ground clearance and an external charger indicator also can be seen, which looks quite impressive. The image further reveals that the vehicle’s front suspension is likely to feature a unique girder fork. The model will carry neo-vintage/classic styling with high-quality tactile finishes

Hero MotoCorp motorcycles to get expensive from December 1, check details

The leading two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp which has been seeing a rise in sales for the past few years announced that the company will again be going to increase the prices of vehicles. The firm also revealed that the decision will come into power from the start of December.

This is the fourth time the firm has spiked the price of its vehicles. The reports have suggested that this time company is likely to increase prices somewhere around between Rs 1,500 to 3,000.

Reacting to the recent price hike on bikes and scooters, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Hero Mr Niranjan Gupta said that the general inflationary costs have forced the company to increase the for their vehicles. He said to main healthy relations with its customers, the firm is offering creative financing options. In addition to that, he said that implementing accelerated savings programs will enable the company to counteract any future cost impacts and increase margins. Going forward, the economic indicators point to an increase in demand, and we anticipate that industry volumes will increase in the upcoming quarters, Gupta added.

Meanwhile, in order to attract new customers, the company has been trying to enter the EV segment as well. Amid this, Hero MotoCorp Vida opened its first experience in Bengaluru. To gain customers’ trust, the brand also started providing test rides for its V1 electric scooter.

Vida V1 EV is said to compete against the feature-loaded and hot-selling products Ola S1 Pro and Ather 450X and Ola S1 Pro. Talking about its specs, the new electric scooter has been launched with a 3.94 kWh battery, under which it claims to provide a range of 163 km (IDC) on a single charge.

It also has been claimed that the newly launched scooter can reach from 0-40 kmph in 3.2 seconds. As far as the price is concerned, customers can purchase it at the starting price of ₹1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
