Indian car manufacturer Mahindra is all set to launch one of its awaited vehicles next generation Scorpio 2022 on June 27 (today). The company has already teased the customers with some of the key features and important details about the car.

The firm already gave a proper idea to the customers that what the big day of SUVs will look like. The clear exterior and interior images of the updated Scorpio have been shared with the company on the Internet ahead of its official launch.

Upcoming Mahindra Scorpio 2022

As per the photos shared by the firm. Mahindra Scorpio N is likely to be bigger as compared to the Tata Safari. Customers can expect the upcoming king-size SUV likely to have 4,662mm in length, 1,917mm in width, and 1,870mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,750mm. The vehicle also likely to launch with a ground clearance of about 205mm.

As far as the engine is concerned, like the new Thar, the SUV is likely to come with a 2.0l turbo petrol with both manual and automatic transmission. Apart from this the vehicle also will come with a 2.2l diesel engine option with both manual and automatic transmission. Reports also suggested that the company might launch the car with an all-wheel-drive option as well.

As per the leaked images, the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio is likely to get updated front grills with a new Mahindra logo in the centre. The images also suggested that the car will have a chrome bar that runs above the grille and merges in with the neatly designed headlamps. Customers can also expect the all-new LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs.

Recently, the leading car manufacturer in India Maruti Suzuki announced that it will hike the price of vehicles starting in January. However, earlier, the company confirmed that it will only increase the price on the selected vehicle but sadly it has increased it on its entire range of vehicles including sedans, MPVs, MUVs, and SUVs, among others.

The firm already informed the customers about the price hike in advance on April 6, where they said that over the past year, the cost of the company’s vehicles continue to be adversely impacted due to increases in various input costs. The report says that the upcoming EV likely to be hit the market somewhere around at the start of January or at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Ahead of its official launch, the firm will start accepting official bookings of the vehicle on December 20, this year. Interested customers can directly visit the official website of Hyundai and book the EV by giving a booking amount of Rs 25,000.

Know everything about the Hyundai Ioniq 5

Talking about the price segment, the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV, which will be sold as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), is anticipated to come under the range between Rs 45 lakh to Rs 60 lakh. For those who are unaware, Hyundai’s upcoming EV is likely to share the platform E-GMP or Electric Global Modula, same as Kia’s newly launched EV6.

It will also support up to 220kW DC charging, under which the customers will be able to charge the vehicle 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.

As far as the spec is concerned, the Ioniq 5 will come in two sizes – 72.6kWh and 58kWh. The firm claimed that the 72.6kWh battery pack is likely to provide a maximum range of around 470-480kms. The firm also revealed that the EV will support 800V battery technology, which gives ultra-rapid charging.
