UGC NET 2021: Full list of selected centres of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh where exam postponed due to Cyclone Jawad

In the view of Cyclone Jawad, the National Test Agency (NTA) has postponed the University Grant Commission National entrance test (UGC NET 2021) and entrance exams for MBA 2021-2021, which was scheduled for December 5, 2021, in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal.

The decision comes a day after when the states government issued the red alert in the state due to cyclone Jawad. Test agency in its official notice said, in view of the cyclone Jawad which is expected to hit the coastal areas of Odisha on December 4 and the consequent disruption of normal life in the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and West Bengal, the agency has decided to push the exams dates further and soon it will inform the candidates through their official website.

The agency also said the new dates for the exams will be released as soon as the situation gets better in the states.

UGC NET and MBA entrance postponed in these states

NTA has postponed the entrance exam for UGC NET in the Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Sambalpur, Bhubaneswar, Odisha’s Cuttack, Kolkata and West Bengal’s Durgapur.

Apart from UGC NET 2021, NTA has also postponed the MBA of IIFT 2022-24 exams that were scheduled to be held on December 5, 2021.

Meanwhile, the UGC NET 2021 for other cities will be held as per the schedule date. All the candidates who are appearing for the examination keep on checking the official website of NTA or UGC for the latest updates and other important details regarding exams.

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha has officially released the Class 12 board examination results for the year 2025. The announcement covers all four major streams—Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational. This year, a total of 3,93,618 students appeared for the exams conducted across 1,276 centres in the state.

The Plus Two exams began on February 18 and concluded on March 27. Science stream exams were the first to start, followed by Arts and Commerce on February 19, and the Vocational stream on February 20.

Stream-wise student participation

  • Arts: 2,47,391 students
  • Science: 1,14,980 students
  • Commerce: 25,526 students
  • Vocational: 5,721 students

To download their results, students should:

  1. Visit either of the official result portals.
  2. Click on the link titled CHSE Odisha 12th Result 2025 on the homepage.
  3. Enter their roll number and registration number in the given fields.
  4. Submit the details to view and download their result.
  5. Save and print the result page for future use.

The original marksheets will be distributed by the respective schools in due course.

Tamil Nadu Class 11 (HSE +1) result 2025 declared, 92.09% students pass

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations has declared the Class 11 HSE +1 results for 2025, recording a pass rate of 92.09%.

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, has officially announced the results for the Class 11 Higher Secondary Examination (HSE +1) for 2025. As per the notification, the result link has been made live from 2 PM on May 16 on the websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. The state has reported an impressive overall pass percentage of 92.09% this year.

Key dates and exam timeline

The Class 11 board examinations were held between March 5 and March 27, 2025, while practical exams were conducted earlier from February 15 to 21. Comparatively, the previous year’s results were declared on May 14, 2024.

How to check Tamil Nadu Class 11 result 2025

Students can check their results by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official website — tnresults.nic.in
  2. Click on the link for Class 11 (HSE +1) results
  3. Enter the roll number and date of birth
  4. Submit the details
  5. The scorecard will appear on the screen
  6. Download and save it for future reference

Results also accessible via DigiLocker and SMS

Apart from the official websites, students can also access their digital marksheets through the DigiLocker platform, using Aadhaar-linked login credentials.

To check results via SMS:

  1. Open the SMS application on your phone
  2. Type Create new message and type: ‘TNBOARD11’ then date of birth and registration number.
  3. Send it to 9282232585
  4. The result will be sent to the same mobile number via SMS

Minimum qualifying marks

To be declared as passed:

  • Students must secure at least 35 out of 100 marks in each subject
  • For theory papers carrying 70 marks, the same rule applies

There is reportedly no minimum mark requirement for the practical exams

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has officially announced the Class 12 board results for the academic year 2024-25. The results were declared today by Board Chairman Dr Amarpal Singh at the PSEB headquarters in Mohali. Students can now access their results on the board’s official website, pseb.ac.in.

Top achievers of 2025

Leading the merit list this year is Harsirat Kaur from Barnala, who scored a perfect 100 per cent, claiming the top spot across Punjab. Close behind is Manvir Kaur from Ferozepur, who secured the second position with 99.60 per cent marks. Arsh from Mansa also achieved 99.60 per cent, earning the third rank due to tie-breaking norms.

Girls ahead in performance

Continuing a consistent trend, girls outshone boys this year. The pass percentage for girls stood at 94.32%, significantly higher than the 88.08% recorded for boys.

School-wise pass percentage

A comparison between government and non-government institutions showed a marginal difference. Non-government schools had a 92.47% pass rate, slightly ahead of government schools, which recorded 91.01%.

A look at last year’s statistics

In 2024, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.04%, with 2,84,452 students appearing and 2,64,662 clearing the exam. Girls had outperformed boys with a 95.74% pass rate, compared to 90.74% for boys. Amritsar led the district rankings with 97.27%, while Shri Muktsar Sahib had the lowest pass percentage of 87.86%.
