[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Famous Bollywood diva and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra married American singer Nick Jonas in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Jodhpur on Sunday (Dec 2) after three days of wedding celebrations which included a colourful mehendi ceremony, a friendly cricket match and a power-packed ‘desi’ musical evening.
Priyanka and Nick were married in accordance with Christian traditions on Saturday, in a ceremony officiated by Nick’s father, Paul Kevin Jonas Sr.The Mirror reports that the ceremony began at 4:30 pm and was followed by a cake cutting. Priyanka and Nick were dressed in Ralph Lauren ensembles, as were their bridesmaids and groomsmen.
The nuptials come just three months after the pair was engaged in August in a traditional Indian roka ceremony. The pre-wedding festivities for the couple, who has been on a celebration spree ever since they kicked off their respective bachelorettes, began on Friday with a Sangeet ceremony.
Priyanka and Nick shared images from their first pre-wedding ceremony, the mehendi, on Saturday. In a joint social media post, the couple wrote, “One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. According to reports, the actor slipped while he was working in the kitchen and got injured. He was taken to hospital where he lost his life.
The 67-year-old actor is survived by his wife Suzanne Bernert, also an actor. The incident took place in Hyderabad, Telangana where he was shooting for an upcoming project.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee had extended his condolence on the death of veteran actor Akhil Mishra. He said the incident was unbelievably shocking.
Akhil was married to a German actor Suzanne Bernert in February 2009. Later in 2011, they got married as per the traditional rituals.
Akhil has worked in several movies like Gandhi, My Father, Don, Shikhar, Kamla Ki Maut, and Well Done Abba. He got his popularity as a librarian Dubey in 3 Idiots movie, starring Amir Khan, R Madhavan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani, and Omi Vaidya among others.
The veteran actor was also seen in famous TV shows like CID, Udaan, Hatim and Uttaran among others.
Suzanne Bernert has also worked in several Television shows such as Porus, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Savdhaan India, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat.
Earlier, Akhil Mishra and his wife Suzanne worked together in the movie Kram. They have worked in TV Shows together like Dewaana, a Doordarshan serial.
They worked in a short film named Manju Ki Juliet as well in 2019.
His last rites were held on September 21 at 3:30 pm at Indralok near Golden Nest. Suzanne had made all the arrangements and preparations for the cremation. She said that her heart was broken and her second half had gone forever.
