They have incredible chemistry, and they also have a kiss in the movie, which definitely caught many spectators off guard.

Now that they have shot for the kiss, director Karan Johar has revealed how he persuaded them to do it. According to Karan Johar, Dharmendra and Shabana didn’t ask him any questions regarding the scene, they simply delivered it with absolute aplomb.

In a recent interview, Karan Johar was questioned about how difficult it was for him to persuade the seasoned actors Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi to shoot the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani kiss scene. In a statement, Karan said that neither of the senior actors needed any convincing that the kissing sequence was appropriate. He also discussed how their romance paved the path for Ranveer and Alia’s characters to find love in the movie. Two outstanding veterans performed with complete ease and without hesitation, according to Karan.

Two outstanding veterans performed with complete ease and without hesitation, according to Karan. He said, it has to be a pack for me. He chose the song Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar, as it is his one of all-time favourites, had to be their song as she refers to Mall Road walks, their re-run, and their favourite song in the dialogue. And that turned into another thematic link between Rocky (Ranveer) and Rani (Alia).

Dharmendra has previously spoken candidly about his kiss with Shabana Azmi and claimed there had been no awkwardness while filming. Meanwhile, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani made more than Rs 50 crore in India and is headed for box office triumph.
