On Thursday, renowned personalities Mukesh Ambani, his daughter Isha Ambani, and Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone graced the front row at designer Manish Malhotra’s fashion show in Mumbai. The evening’s showstoppers were Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, who walked the ramp together showcasing Manish Malhotra’s latest collection. During the event, a heartwarming video captured the moment Deepika warmly hugged Mukesh Ambani upon meeting him.

Similarly, there was another video showing Ranveer greeting Mukesh Ambani and Isha Ambani in the midst of his ramp walk. Ranveer and Alia were the showstoppers for Manish’s The Bridal Couture Show. The designer has also crafted outfits for their upcoming film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Karan Johar, the film’s director and a close friend of Manish, was present at the event as well.

Interestingly, on the same night, Deepika attended Manish’s show while the first look of her film Project K was revealed at San Diego Comic Con. However, Deepika could not actively participate in the event due to her involvement with the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Radio and Television Artists (SAG-AFTRA), which is currently on strike.

At the Comic Con event, the film’s official title, Kalki 2898 AD, was unveiled along with a teaser. The video provided a glimpse of Deepika Padukone as a soldier. Notable actors like Prabhas and Kamal Haasan were also present for the teaser release. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan, whose appearance was kept under wraps with a cloth covering his face. Kalki 2898 AD is scheduled to hit theatres next year.

His clarification came after his name had been circulating in discussions about possible contestants for Bigg Boss 20.

Batwara 1947 has had a disappointing run at the box office, and actor Shabana Azmi has now shared her thoughts on why the film may not have connected with audiences. According to Azmi, one possible reason could be the difficulty some viewers had in accepting Sunny Deol as a Muslim character.

The film, which also features Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, was released on August 14. It has reportedly earned around Rs 53 crore so far, while Awarapan 2, which released on the same day, has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

Azmi also suggested that there may have been confusion among some viewers about Sunny Deol’s character in Batwara 1947. She said that even some people who had watched the film believed Deol was playing a Pakistani character, whereas, according to her, he plays an Indian Muslim.
