Prabhas

On Wednesday, the first image of Prabhas from Project K was unveiled. Many people responded on Twitter as soon as the first image appeared online, and judging from the tweets, it appears that most fans weren’t impressed. As a result of amusing reactions and comparisons to Adipurush, the poster quickly gained popularity on Twitter. The first look poster was taken down by the creators and later re-shared, but with a little revision, in response to criticism.

The actor wears a top bun and has a robotic-looking torso in the first look, which was released on Wednesday. With the caption What is Project K in the background, he is seen gazing directly into the camera.

Many criticised the excessive graphic use and even made comparisons to Adipurush. It was written in one comment, and looks like a fan-made poster, even I can do much better editing than this. Another person said, I honestly wonder where the hundreds of crores that are pushed into Prabhas films are going because it doesn’t make sense.

You can’t make the biggest films in India while some of your most basic marketing materials, like posters and teasers, scream incompetence. Another person said, Adipurush got a new sibling. While other said, looks like a face was cut out and pasted into something.

The poster was taken down. The previous line in which it was written What is Project K, was also not present in the background of the new first look poster, which features Prabhas in the same stance but with a brighter appearance. The initial peek tweet was removed. Someone has never done that before, a person commented. Even this is horrible, another person wrote. How reckless the unit is shown by continuing to delete the initial frame of a movie that is shown as pan-world. This one appears much better now. In contrast to the previous, when it appeared as though the face was superimposed, this time the neck is somewhat apparent, making it look natural, a user said.

The film “Bad Newz,” starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, directed by Anand Tiwari, is now all set to release on July 19, 2024. The movie aims to sell over 50,000 tickets on the first day.

“Bad Newz,” directed by Anand Tiwari and starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, has already sold 22,000 tickets on top of the chain for the opening day as of 10 am prior to the release. The film is trending well towards selling 50,000 tickets by the end of the advance sale, keeping it on track for an opening of Rs 9-10 crore.

The advance bookings for “Bad Newz” are on par with this year’s successful release of “Crew,” which catered to the same audience and earned a net of 80 crore in India and 150 crore worldwide.

Out of the 22,000 tickets sold, approximately 18,000 were sold in PVR Inox and 4,000 in Cinepolis. “Bad Newz” has benefited from the chemistry of its lead actors – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk – and its aggressive marketing strategy.

The trailer and songs have been received exceptionally well. Overall, things look promising for this romantic comedy, and positive word of mouth should help it reach 100 crore nett. The challenge for the movie will be in its second week, where it will have to compete with the box office juggernauts “Deadpool” and “Wolverine.”

“Bad Newz” is a spiritual sequel to “Good Newwz,” which was a box office superhit, grossing around Rs 200 crore in India and over 300 crore worldwide with an opening day collection of almost Rs 20 crore nett.

If “Bad Newz” continues trending like “Good Newwz,” it could mean significant success for the producers, exhibitors, and distributors, potentially earning a net of Rs 100 crore in India and Rs 150 crore worldwide.
