Bigg Boss 16 contestant Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who enjoys a massive fan following, has reportedly bagged a film with Shah Rukh Khan. If it’s true, the Udaariyan actor will be making her big Bollywood debut in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.

There are reports that Salman Khan has helped Priyanka bag a role in Dunki, also starring Taapsee Pannu. According to Bollywood Life, makers have already contacted Priyanka’s team.

Reportedly, director Rajkumar Hirani was looking for a girl who had a Punjabi background as the film is about the illegal immigration of Punjabis in countries like the US and Canada. And now it seems Salman Khan has recommended the director to consider for the role. Priyanka is from Chandigarh and has a strong dialect of the language.

The news of her roping in for Dunki comes after Salman Khan, in one of the episodes of Bigg Boss 16, expressed his desire to meet her outside the BB house and told her something exciting is waiting for her outside. The buzz got stronger as Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill is also going to make her Bollywood debut opposite Salman Khan in his upcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Dunki has already gone on floors and is expected to release this year. The film will mark Rajkumar’s comeback to films since the #MeToo allegation against him.

Earlier Salman Khan also called Priyanka the Heroine material. He also said Priyanka has potential, and if he gets a chance, he would like to work with Priyanka. Her future is bright, she deserves to be a top actor.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently riding high on the success of Pathaan. The film has grossed Rs 542 crore worldwide in five days.

The film “Bad Newz,” starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, directed by Anand Tiwari, is now all set to release on July 19, 2024. The movie aims to sell over 50,000 tickets on the first day.

“Bad Newz,” directed by Anand Tiwari and starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, has already sold 22,000 tickets on top of the chain for the opening day as of 10 am prior to the release. The film is trending well towards selling 50,000 tickets by the end of the advance sale, keeping it on track for an opening of Rs 9-10 crore.

The advance bookings for “Bad Newz” are on par with this year’s successful release of “Crew,” which catered to the same audience and earned a net of 80 crore in India and 150 crore worldwide.

Out of the 22,000 tickets sold, approximately 18,000 were sold in PVR Inox and 4,000 in Cinepolis. “Bad Newz” has benefited from the chemistry of its lead actors – Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk – and its aggressive marketing strategy.

The trailer and songs have been received exceptionally well. Overall, things look promising for this romantic comedy, and positive word of mouth should help it reach 100 crore nett. The challenge for the movie will be in its second week, where it will have to compete with the box office juggernauts “Deadpool” and “Wolverine.”
