Bengaluru Police on Tuesday arrested Kannada actor Chetan Kumar, popularly known as Chetan Ahimsa, for his objectional tweet on Hindutva. He was sent to 14 days of judicial custody for spreading enmity between classes.

Hindus filed a complaint against the actor for his tweet which says that Hindutva is built on lies. Chetan, who is also a Dalit and tribal activist, was taken into custody by the Sheshadripuram police in Bengaluru.

In a tweet on March 20, Kumar claimed that Hindutva is built on lies.

He tweeted, Savarkar: the Indian nation began when Rama defeated Ravana & returned to Ayodhya —> a lie

Hours after that, the member of the right-wing outfit Bajrang Dal, identified as Shivakumar, filed a police complaint against him at the Sheshadripuram police station and then booked the Athiratha actor for insulting a religion or religious beliefs and making statements that promote enmity between classes.

This is not the first the actor got embroiled in a legal battle. Earlier in February too, the 40-year-old actor got into legal trouble for an objectionable tweet on Karnataka High Court Justice Krishna Dixit, who was then hearing the hijab case.

In October too, Chetan Kumar found himself at the center of a debate over his comments regarding the Bhoota Kola custom. He spoke in favour of creative liberties when fellow actor Dhananjaya had landed in a row over his film Headbush which reportedly offended people by depicting the folk art form Veeraghase and the Karaga utsava that happens in Bengaluru every year.

Jee Rahe The Hum

Jee Rahe The Hum (Falling In Love), composed by Amaal Mallik and written by Shabbir Ahmed, is the latest release from Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

The romantic ballad was released by the makers on Tuesday afternoon and is allegedly a celebration of old-school romance.

The video showcases Salman Khan trying to woo his lady love Pooja Hegde in a dreamy setting, singing and dancing for her. He is seen sporting a half-tied long pony, as the couple enjoys strolling through the streets, eating ice cream and enjoying each other’s company, where he can’t help falling in love with her.

Salman Khan, with his cult-like fan following, is getting many compliments for creating an original song that shows pure and respectful love without any obscenity; but the fans are most impressed by a dance step where Salman and Pooja tilt down together, so much so that they almost lie on the floor. The fans call it challenging and unique.

The song is so heavily auto-tuned that it just becomes irksome, but who can deny the producer of the film even if he wants to sound like a robot? Some social media users commented that he was probably going for that mechanical touch to his otherwise harmonious voice.

Watch Jee Rahe The Hum here:

A social media user tweeted in response to the song:
Producer: How much auto-tune?
Salman Khan: Yes

Salman Khan made his debut as a singer in his home production film Hero (2015) with the song Main Hoon Hero Tera. He also lent his vocals for the background of songs ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ and ‘Hangover’, here he is back again to bless our ears and soul.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is all set to hit the silver screen on April 21. The film will also star Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Siddharth Nigam, Raghav Juyal, and Jassie Gill in important roles.
