Bollywood is suffering due to Sushant Singh Rajput’s curse, says Kamaal R Khan

Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide, his fans are calling to boycott Bollywood.

Bollywood is undoubtedly having hard times and films miserably failing at the box office are proof. From Samrat Prithviraj to Liger to Laal Singh Chaddha, the theatrical releases have disappointed fans this year. In this episode, Kamaal R Khan aka KRK on Wednesday tweeted about it and called it the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s curse.

Taking it to Twitter, the self-acclaimed film critic wrote that he believes that the failed Bollywood films are the results of Sushant Singh Rajput’s curse on the industry. He further wrote that the industry should do a havan and ask for forgiveness from God.

KRK didn’t stop here and wrote that Bollywood should promise to God to not harass outsiders like Sushant Singh Rajput in the future.

The untimely demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput sent shock waves in the entertainment industry in 2020. Fans can still not get over the loss and demand justice for the actor’s death; Twitter trends are the proof.

Ever since the actor died by suicide, his fans are calling to boycott Bollywood and also accused ‘Bollywood biggies’ including Karan Johar of promoting nepotism and harassing outsiders.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020. The actor was found hanging at his Mumbai residence. His death triggered the nepotism debate in Bollywood and FIRs were filed in different courts against filmmaker Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, and others for pushing the actor to take a such severe step.

Following this, Karan Johar was mercilessly trolled and slammed on social media and is still trolled for launching star kids and ignoring outsiders. Recently, the filmmaker quit Twitter on World Mental Health Day for making space for positive energies.

Johar also spoke about massive bashing on social media over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput on several occasions.

Bawaal: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer postponed, gets a new release date

Earlier, Bawaal was scheduled to release in theatres on April 7, however, it was postponed due to the VFX and technical issues.

Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan starrer Bawaal got its release date on Wednesday. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is said to be a romantic drama and will also mark the first collaboration between Kapoor and Dhawan.

Earlier, Bawaal was scheduled to release in theatres on April 7, however, it was postponed due to the VFX and technical issues.

The makers of the film announced the new release date which is October 6, 2023. Taking it to Twitter, Nitesh Tiwari wrote that his second association with Sajid Nadiadwala is a rather intriguing one and will hit the silver screen on October 6 this year.

Bawaal is bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala, under Nadiadwala Grandson Productions, and co-produced by EarthSky Pictures.

Nitesh Tiwari had earlier directed critically-acclaimed films like Dangal, Chillar Party and Bhoothnath Returns. Out of these, Dangal had become the highest-grossing Indian film and the fifth highest-grossing non-English film, earning over Rs. 2000 crores.

In 2019, Tiwari helmed Chhichhor starring late actor Shushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor which was critically acclaimed and loved by the audiences as well.

On the work front, Varun Dhawan will be next seen with Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the official Hindi adaptation of the Hollywood series Citadel being created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. Janhvi Kapoor will be next seen in Karan Johar’s film Mr and Mrs Maahi opposite Rajkummar Rao which is a sports drama film.

While Dhawan was last seen in Bhediya co-starring Kriti Sanon, Kapoor appeared in the survival thriller film directed by Mathukutty Xavier which is a remake of his own 2019 Malayalam-language film Helen. She wrapped up the Bawaal shooting in July last year and also shared some BTS moments on her Instagram handle.

Kangana Ranaut is known for sharing her views about Bollywood and politics on social media. On Wednesday, the actor hit the headlines yet again for targeting a celebrity.

Ranaut pointed her guns once again at Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh for allegedly being in support of Khalistanis. She warned him that he will be arrested soon, amid the Punjab police’s crackdown case to arrest Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh.

Kangana took to her Instagram to write “pols aa gayi pols”, taking the phrase from a popular social media meme circulating these days. It means police have arrived or police are chasing us slyly hinting that the singer will be soon arrested by the police, concerning the case to arrest radical Sikh preacher Amritpal Singh and his allies.

She first shared a post from Swiggy India on her Instagram and Twitter which was a picture of a variety of pulses with pulse aagai pulse as its caption. On the Instagram story, she tagged Diljit and wrote, Diljit Dosanjh ji pols aagai pols and added a crossed-out Khalisatan sticker. She also tagged him in a similar tweet and wrote, just saying.

In another post, she wrote, one cannot be doing whatever they wish to anymore. Betraying the country or being willing to destroy it will cost you big time.

Meanwhile, Punjab Police on Wednesday questioned absconding Amritpal Singh’s wife Kirandeep Kaur and mother Balwinder Kaur at his native village Jallupur Khera near Amritsar.

Cops have managed to find the motorcycle on which Singh was last seen escaping. The Bajaj Platina bike was recovered near a canal in the Darapur area of Jalandhar. Reports said the police have arrested as many as 11 aides of Amritpal Singh.

Bengaluru Police arrest Kannada actor Chetan Kumar for Hindutva built on lies tweet, sent to 14 days judicial custody

In a tweet on March 20, Kumar claimed that Hindutva is built on lies.

Bengaluru Police on Tuesday arrested Kannada actor Chetan Kumar, popularly known as Chetan Ahimsa, for his objectional tweet on Hindutva. He was sent to 14 days of judicial custody for spreading enmity between classes.

Hindus filed a complaint against the actor for his tweet which says that Hindutva is built on lies. Chetan, who is also a Dalit and tribal activist, was taken into custody by the Sheshadripuram police in Bengaluru.

In a tweet on March 20, Kumar claimed that Hindutva is built on lies.

He tweeted, Savarkar: the Indian nation began when Rama defeated Ravana & returned to Ayodhya —> a lie
1992: Babri Masjid is the birthplace of Rama —> a lie
2023: Urigowda-Nanjegowda are killers of Tipu—> a lie.

He further added that Hindutva can only be defeated by truth.

Hours after that, the member of the right-wing outfit Bajrang Dal, identified as Shivakumar, filed a police complaint against him at the Sheshadripuram police station and then booked the Athiratha actor for insulting a religion or religious beliefs and making statements that promote enmity between classes.

This is not the first the actor got embroiled in a legal battle. Earlier in February too, the 40-year-old actor got into legal trouble for an objectionable tweet on Karnataka High Court Justice Krishna Dixit, who was then hearing the hijab case.

In October too, Chetan Kumar found himself at the center of a debate over his comments regarding the Bhoota Kola custom. He spoke in favour of creative liberties when fellow actor Dhananjaya had landed in a row over his film Headbush which reportedly offended people by depicting the folk art form Veeraghase and the Karaga utsava that happens in Bengaluru every year.
