Days after Pragya Thakur’s video of playing basketball went viral on social media, the Bhopal BJP MP is seen dancing at a wedding she helped organize. Her dancing video has again drawn backlash on social media as she has been seen wheelchair-bound so far.
The latest video is from Pragya Thakur’s official residence in Bhopal where a twin wedding of two underprivileged young women was organized. Thakur is seen shaking a leg at the celebration and asking people to join in.
However, the brides told reporters that they were very happy and felt blessed. The father of one of the brides, a daily-wage worker, said he was grateful to Pragya Thakur as he was very poor and didn’t have enough money to organize his daughter’s wedding.
I feel like I have been given a second life. I am very poor. I did not have enough to marry my daughters. But Pragya Thakur helped us. I pray to the mother goddess for her long life. I am very happy and grateful, he told reporters.
Taking a dig at the BJP MP, Congress spokesperson, Narendra Saluja said “Whenever we see the Bhopal MP, sister Pragya Thakur, play basketball and walking without support or dancing happily like this, it makes us happy…?”

The video had drawn Narendra Saluja’s sarcasm on Twitter where he had shared the video. He wrote, he had seen MP Sadhvi Thakur wheelchair-bound so far. But today he is delighted to see her hands on the basketball court at the stadium. It was known that she could not walk or stand due to injury. Praying for her good health, he wrote on Twitter in Hindi.
Pragya Singh Thakur is an accused in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, where six people were killed and hundreds were left injured after an explosive device strapped to a motorcycle went off near a mosque in north Maharashtra on September 29, 2008.

PM Modi says change in government certain in Chhattisgarh
According to PM Modi, the second Parivartan Yatra was launched from Jashpur in north Chhattisgarh on September 15 while the first one left Dantewada in south Chhattisgarh on September 12.

Punjab: Farmer’s rail roko protest enters 3rd day, disrupts train services

Sankalp Saptaah: PM Modi today launches week-long initiative for aspirational blocks at Bharat Mandapam
The country’s Sankalp Saptah programme, which is being implemented in 500 aspirational blocks throughout 329 districts, seeks to increase block-level government while also improving civilian quality of life.
At Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced a week-long project named Sankalp Saptaah for the country’s aspirational groups.

He asserted that the quality of living had changed. Now, the aspirational blocks programme will be built on the success of the aspirational districts programme, he said.
According to the statement, about 3,000 panchayat and block level functionaries and representatives of the people are expected to attend the inaugural event at Bharat Mandapam, in addition to about two lakh farmers, block and panchayat level functionaries, and people from other walks of life who will participate virtually.
Starting on October 3 and running through October 9, each day of Sankalp Saptaah is devoted to a distinct development subject on which all aspirational blocks will focus. Sampoorna Swasthya, Suposhit Pariwaar, Swachhta, Krishi, Shiksha, and Samridhi Diwas are some of the themes for the first six days, according to the statement.
