Delhi Government has also temporarily suspended biometric attendance in its offices in wake of coronavirus threat.
With one more case of coronavirus reported in Ghaziabad on Thursday, the total number of positive cases in India reached 30 so far. The latest patient is a middle-aged man with a recent travel history to Iran, officials said.
India had earlier reported 29 cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), after a man in Gurgaon tested positive when he returned from a vacation in Italy.
The caes are rising even as the government decided to screen all passengers entering the country from abroad for the lethal virus.
“The government is working intensively to ensure meaningful intervention, if needed, to deal with the impact of unfolding Covid-19 crisis in the country,” Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.
She said various ministries are working alongside each other to deal with the impact of the virus.
Worldwide, more than 94,000 people have tested positive and the virus has claimed over 3,200 lives.
The Gurgaon man is a Paytm employee prompting the company to shut its offices in Gurgaon and Noida for a couple of days to be sanitised.
The patient “is receiving appropriate treatment and we are extending complete support to his family”, a company spokesperson said.
“As a precautionary measure, we have suggested his team members to get health tests done immediately,” he added. “However, there will not be any impact on our daily operations and Paytm services will continue as usual.”
Minister of Health and Family Welfare Harsh Vardhan also announced that all flights and passengers will be part of universal screening, not just the 12 countries which we had listed earlier.

Jairam Ramesh attacks PM Modi’s language
The Congress leader said that PM Modi has realised that youth, farmers, women, labourers, and backward classes are upset with him and this is the reason why he talks about Muslim League, Hindu-Muslim, black money given to Congress in tempos and mangalsutra.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Tuesday attacked PM Modi for his language and said that there is no lehar (wave) in favour of PM Modi but only zehar (poison) in his language. Ramesh was addressing a press conference where he said that the language of the outgoing prime minister indicates he is tensed and confused.
The Congress leader said that PM Modi has realised that youth, farmers, women, labourers, and backward classes are upset with him and this is the reason why he talks about Muslim League, Hindu-Muslim, black money given to Congress in tempos and mangalsutra.
Ramesh further added that in the past 4 phases of elections held in 379 Lok Sabha seats, it was clear that BJP became saaf (finish) in south India and half in north, west and east and pointed out that INDIA bloc will get a majority in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Ramesh said Congress is fighting this election to save the Constitution and democracy as dhantantra (capitalism) is prevailing in the country. He said that BJD and BJP are two sides of the same coin and they are engaged in a fake fight in the ongoing Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Odisha.
He said the prime minister and the chief minister are indulged in a fake boxing match. But, the reality is that the BJD had given full support to the BJP in Parliament during the last 10 years. He said the BJD MPs supported anti-farmer, anti-tribal and anti-environment Bills in both houses of Parliament and even the ruling party in Odisha elected BJP nominee Ashwini Vaishnaw in Rajya Sabha elections.
Ramesh hit out at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and said, Did he not extend 100% support to the BJP in Delhi? He also asked if it was not true that the BJD supported the weakening of the amendment in the Forest Conservation Act, Forest Rights Act, Labour Code and the Land Acquisition Act?

Amit Shah says Mamata Banerjee will not be able to stop CAA implementation as the matter lies with the central government
Shah was addressing a rally at Matua community stronghold Bangaon, where he said, Mamata Banerjee can never stop Citizenship Amendment Act implementation in Bengal as it is a law by the central government.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday assured the community that its members would get citizenship under the CAA and accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of spreading canards about it. Shah was addressing a rally at Matua community stronghold Bangaon, where he said, Mamata Banerjee can never stop Citizenship Amendment Act implementation in Bengal as it is a law by the central government.
Shah said no power in the world can stop refugee brothers from becoming citizens of India. He said this is the promise of the Modi government. He further added that Mamata Banerjee must remember that citizenship falls under the exclusive authority of the central government, not the state governments.
The Union Home Minister accused Mamata Banerjee of lying and spreading falsehood about the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). He said Mamata Banerjee is lying that anyone who applies for citizenship under the CAA will face problems. He said he wanted to assure the people of the Matua community that no one will face any trouble. He promised them that they will get citizenship and will be able to live with respect in the country.
Shah was addressing a considerable Matua population in the Bongaon Lok Sabha seat where he attacked Mamata Banerjee for opposing the CAA and taking out rallies in support of infiltrators to appease her vote bank. Why is she against refugees obtaining citizenship?
Shah said the West Bengal chief minister is supporting infiltration in Bengal but opposes Hindu refugees getting citizenship. He said she is taking out rallies against the CAA and supporting infiltrators. Shah further asserted that Modi Ji has attained a majority with 270 seats, after the completion of voting in 380 seats of the first 4 phases and predicted that they will soon reach the target of 400 plus seats.
