The trailer of Ajith Kumar’s much-awaited action entertainer Good Bad Ugly has finally been unveiled and it’s nothing short of a mass-loaded spectacle. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film is set for a grand worldwide release on April 10, 2025 and the trailer has only amplified the hype around this high-octane action drama.

Originally planned for a Pongal 2025 release, the film has been in the works since June last year and boasts a powerhouse ensemble cast featuring Ajith Kumar, Trisha, Arjun Das, Prabhu, Prasanna, and Sunil.

The trailer opens with Arjun Das in a suave villainous role, dancing alongside foreign performers to the folk tune Otha Rooba Tharen. His character directly challenges Ajith’s, branding himself as the real villain in the story. Soon after, Trisha’s character accuses Ajith’s of a past crime, sparking emotional turmoil that quickly turns into a mission for revenge and redemption.

Ajith’s character, in a fiery monologue, reveals his transformation — having given up smoking, drinking, and violence for his family — only to reclaim his old ways when his son’s safety is at risk. With electrifying action scenes, gripping face-offs, and a commanding presence, Ajith delivers one of the trailer’s strongest lines, warning an opponent that while they may retain their body parts, they won’t keep their life.

The trailer ends with the striking declaration: “Bad boy.”

The trailer’s scheduled release was briefly delayed due to what the production team called “MASS SAMBAVAM” — a response so overwhelming it caused server slowdowns. Eventually, the trailer dropped 20 minutes later, much to fans’ delight.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film features music by National Award-winning composer G.V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Abinandhan Ramanujam, editing by Vijay Velukutty, and intense stunt sequences choreographed by Supreme Sundar and Kaloian Vodenicharov.

With its high-voltage visuals, punch-packed dialogues, and Ajith in full form, Good Bad Ugly promises to be a box-office storm when it hits theatres on April 10.

Jagjit Singh Dallewal, a prominent figure in the ongoing farmers’ protest, ended his indefinite hunger strike on Sunday after nearly five months. His fast, which began on November 26, 2024, had become a powerful symbol of the persistent demand for a legal guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP) and other pressing issues raised by protesting farmers across the country.

Dallewal, a senior leader from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), announced the end of his fast during a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Sirhind, Punjab’s Fatehgarh Sahib district. The announcement followed personal appeals by Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu, who urged Dallewal to prioritise his health and continue contributing to the movement through leadership and dialogue.

His hunger strike was part of the broader resurgence of farmers’ protests that gained momentum in late 2024, with fresh demands to the Centre—primarily for a legal MSP framework, compensation for protest casualties and withdrawal of pending cases from earlier agitations.

Protest pressure builds as talks with Centre resume

Though the Centre invited farmer leaders for dialogue in January, Dallewal refused to end his fast, even as he began receiving medical assistance at the Khanauri protest site. His decision to now step back from the hunger strike signals a shift from passive resistance to renewed engagement in negotiations, with the next round of talks between farmer unions and the Centre scheduled for May 4.

The end of Dallewal’s fast does not mark the end of the movement. The farmers’ protest remains active in various parts of Punjab, Haryana, and bordering areas of Delhi, with continued dharnas and mobilisations pressing the government to meet the core demands.

Union ministers, while expressing concern over Dallewal’s health, reiterated that discussions are ongoing and that the government is open to resolving issues through dialogue. Dallewal’s step is being seen by many within the movement as a strategic pause that allows the leadership to regroup and strengthen the push for results.

The hunger strike, which ran parallel to wider demonstrations and tractor marches, had become a rallying point for thousands of farmers. Its conclusion comes at a crucial moment, as farmer groups aim to maintain momentum and public pressure without compromising the health and safety of key leaders.

He reflected on the effort it takes to perform consistently in the IPL and emphasized the importance of making the most of favorable conditions. His form has been a welcome boost for Rajasthan Royals, who moved up to seventh in the IPL 2025 points table with two wins from four matches.

Despite the identity question, Archer remained grounded. Speaking about his performance, he said he’s focused on training hard and staying consistent. “You enjoy the good ones and take the bad ones in your stride. Everyone is training just as hard as you,” he said after being named Player of the Match.
