Imran Khan, the nephew of Aamir Khan, has been away from the industry and from acting for 8 years. However, he has now hinted at his comeback in the industry in a most bizarre way which has also taken the internet by storm. He debuted in the industry in the 2008 release Jaane Tu Ya Jane Na alongside Genelia D’Souza. The film was a big commercial hit, which gave him massive popularity. After that, he appeared in a number of critically acclaimed films as well as a number of box-office duds.

Taking to Instagram today, Veteran actor Zeenat Aman shared a video of a new commercial for a fintech brand, which is also said her comeback to the industry. Now taking the comment section one fan commented in Hindi, Zeenat ji ne bhi comeback karlia, patani mera @imrankhan kab karega, which translates as  Even Zeenat ji made a comeback, don’t know when my Imran Khan will do so.

Imran took note of this remark and said that he had a certain requirement before obeying her request. He said, chalo Aditi, let’s leave this to the internet, if he gets 1M (million) likes on his comment then he will make it happen. He also added a handshake emoji to it.

Imran Khan later re-shared Zeenat Aman’s post on his Instagram story saying that he is taking notes from the veteran actor on how to make a comeback.

The actor has also played the childhood roles of Aamir in Mansoor Khan’s films Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992).

Meanwhile, after Jaane Tu Ya Jane Na Imran went on to work on a number of box office-winning rom-com. These included Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu in 2012 opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan with Katrina Kaif, and I Hate Luv Stories with Sonam Kapoor. In the Abhinay Deo-directed comedic action flick Delhi Belly, he also won a tonne of praise for his acting.

Blending historical terror incidents with a fictional revenge saga, the film explores India’s covert response to cross-border terrorism through the secret project ‘Dhurandhar’.

A brutal world built around revenge and espionage

Set around the IC-814 Kandahar hijack and the 2001 Parliament attack, Dhurandhar opens with Ajay Sanyal, an Intelligence Bureau officer played by R Madhavan, who strongly opposes releasing captured terrorists. Despite his resistance, bureaucracy prevails, setting the stage for the covert mission he later leads.

The project introduces its central weapon — Humza Ali Mazari, later revealed to be Jaskirat Singh Rangil — portrayed by Ranveer Singh with ferocity and emotional depth. Dropped straight into Karachi’s dangerous Lyari district, Humza navigates a nexus of gangs, politicians, and the ISI, with the narrative also touching upon tensions between local Pakistanis and Baloch communities.

Performances that elevate the film

Akshaye Khanna nearly steals the spotlight as a feared Lyari gangster inspired by Rehman ‘Dakait’ Baloch. Sanjay Dutt’s portrayal of SP Chaudhry Aslam brings an intimidating presence, while Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal leaves a lingering impact despite limited screen time.

Sara Arjun plays Yalina with conviction, and the film also features an unrecognisable Gaurav Gera in a surprise appearance.

Music, violence, and a split narrative

Shashwat Sachdev’s background score stands out, weaving classic Pakistani melodies with Indian retro hits to complement the film’s shifting tones.
