Maharashtra teacher, 57, repeatedly rapes 12-year-old student in Nagpur on pretext of marriage, arrested

In a shocking incident, a 57-year-old school teacher allegedly raped a 12-year-old girl student studying in his school in Maharashtra’s Nagpur city. According to the reports, he has been repeatedly raping her over the past three months on the pretext of marriage.
The case was registered against the mathematics teacher for sexually assaulting the Class 6th student at the Sakkardara Police Station. She didn’t tell anybody about the incident because the accused had threatened to kill her if she reveals this to anyone.
The official said the victim was experiencing acute stomach pain over the past few days. However, the girl narrated the whole incident to her mother when she asked the reason behind her stomach pain.
The victim told her mother that on April 5, the accused took her to the science laboratory in the school after the examination and sexually assaulted her there. She also told her mother that he had raped her multiple times from December 10 last year saying he would marry her.
The victim’s mother filed a police complaint against the mathematics teacher under Sections 376 (2) (f) (rape of a woman under twelve years of age), 376 (2) (n) (repeated rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections of the Protection of Children Sexual Offences (POCSO).
Earlier, the Aligarh Police arrested a school teacher for abducting and raping a minor girl student studying in class 7. The accused teacher coaxed the girl student after school and took her with him. He kept her in his vacant house and raped the girl student all night.
The police team probing the case had come to know that the accused class teacher used to chat with the student. The police also received many obscene chats, after which the police reached the teacher’s house.

The Nand Nagri police station is investigating the case. According to reports the name of the young man is Mohammed Isar. He was mentally ill.
In the North East district of New Delhi a young man was beaten to death. According to reports the young man had come to participate in a religious program. After eating Prasad the angry mob tied the young man to a pillar and beat him up. He lost his life due to the beating.
The police are investigating the CCTV footage. They have detained some suspects and interrogation is undergoing. The Nand Nagri police station is investigating the case. According to reports the name of the young man is Mohammed Isar. He was mentally ill. He reached a temple near his house at 4am on September 26.
A religious program was taking place in the temple. As a result there was a check point. Isar picked up Prasad from a post built near the temple. He started eating it. The mob of people present at the spot caught hold of him and tied him with a rope to a pillar. He was beaten with sticks and belts.
A video has been recorded which clearly shows the accused beating the mentally ill young man. The video of the incident has gone viral. According to reports Isar suffered serious injuries which led to his death. The area is highly sensitive. In a similar incident previously a Hindu had been killed. Some organizations had protested in the area for several days.
Large police force has been deployed in the area due to the sensitivity of the case. The body has been taken by the police and has been sent to the hospital for post mortem. North East Delhi DCP Doctor Joy Tirki said the CCTV footage is being scanned.. The police said the accused will be detected soon. The whole matter is under investigation. The police said Isar’s father Abdul Wajid is a fruit vendor. He also has four daughter. Isar was his only son.

The minor was seen walking on the street in a residential area and was bleeding and in a semi-naked condition. As per the reports, the 12-year-old girl was raped and dumped near the city’s Dandi Ashram.
The CCTV visuals showed the minor girl walking on the street, approached a man who was standing on the main door of his house for help, but was shooed away.
According to reports, the minor girl was later admitted to a hospital for treatment and further was referred to Indore in critical condition.

Cauvery water dispute: Karnataka to move Supreme Court challenging panel’s direction to release water to Tamil Nadu, says CM Siddaramaiah
The Cauvery Water Regulation Committee’s panel directed Karnataka to release water at the rate of 3000 cubic feet per second (cusecs) to Tamil Nadu from September 28 to October 15.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday affirmed that his government will approach the Supreme Court challenging the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee’s order to the state to release water to Tamil Nadu.
On Tuesday night, the Cauvery Water Regulation Committee’s panel directed Karnataka to release water at the rate of 3000 cubic feet per second (cusecs) to its neigbouring state, Tamil Nadu from September 28 to October 15.
The conflict between the two states broke out when the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) order directed Karnataka to continue releasing 5000 cusecs of water to Tamil Nadu for another 15 days. Following the order, top Congress leaders of Karnataka maintained that there is no surplus water available to be released.
Speaking on the matter, the Karnataka Chief Minister noted that he had spoken to the state’s legal team, which suggested that the matter should be challenged in the Supreme Court. He added that they have decided to challenge the order of the Regulation Committee before the apex court, adding that they don’t have water to give.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar had expressed satisfaction over CWRC rejecting the request of Tamil Nadu, which demanded Karnataka to release 12,000 cusecs.
As per reports, Karnataka submitted before CWRC at its meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday the shortfall in cumulative inflows to its four reservoirs in the Cauvery basin up to September 25, that hold just 53.04 per cent of their capacity.
According to Karnataka officials, owing to the failure of the south-west monsoon from June to September this year, there is no adequate storage in the four reservoirs and the state is witnessing a grave situation, where it is even difficult to cater to the drinking water requirements, let alone supplying for irrigation. Notably, this year in August and September, Karnataka received the lowest amount of rainfall in the last 123 years.
