Andhra Pradesh IT minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy passes away at 50
According to reports, Mekapati Gautham Reddy had breathed his last at the time he was taken to Apollo hospital.

Andhra Pradesh Industries and Information Technology Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy passed away on Monday morning in Hyderabad after suffering a major heart attack. He was 50 years old.
According to reports, Mekapati Goutham Reddy had breathed his last at the time he was bought to Apollo hospital. The late minister had returned home from Dubai, on Saturday, February 19. His last trip was to attract investment for Andhra Pradesh. Since he has recovered from Covid-19 just recently, it is being surmised that the heart attack that killed him had been a result of post-covid complications.
Goutam Reddy was taken to Apollo Hospitals, Jubilee Hills, in an emergency on Monday, according to the hospital. He had passed out abruptly at him home. He was unconscious, not breathing, and in cardiac arrest when he arrived at the ER at 7:45 am. At addition, in the emergency department, he got rapid CPR and advanced cardiac life support. He was treated by an emergency medicine team as well as experts such as cardiologists and critical care doctors. CPR was performed for over 90 minutes. Despite the hospital staff’s best efforts, he could not be revived.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, has expressed great sorrow and grief over the unexpected death. The Chief Minister described Goutham Reddy as a young promising leader who he had known since childhood and expressed his sorrow over the unfortunate tragedy, saying that words fail to capture the loss of his young cabinet colleague. With a broken heart, he expressed his profound condolences to the departed family members in a press release.
GGoutham Reddy is regarded with creating Andhra Pradesh’s best industrial policy, which has helped the state attract good investments in the previous two years. He was the son of Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, a former Nellore MP.

The man recognized as Kalyan is a video content creator who married his first wife Vimala from Kadapa district two years ago. Apparently, the two met on social media. However, before this marriage, Kalyan was in a long-distance relationship with another woman named Nithya Sree. She is an influencer from Visakhapatnam and the two parted ways owing to circumstances.
The duo became popular on social media, amassing a large following on sites like YouTube and Share Chat. Later, Nitya Sree even moved into their neighborhood.
When Vimala came to know about her husband’s old relationship, she somehow agreed for their marriage, despite the fact that there is no legal authorization to the union. In the presence of his first wife, Kalyan married Nithya Sree on Wednesday at a local temple.
Following the ceremony, the trio posed for photographs as well. The photographs gained attention on social media. While tweeple were confused over the legal authorization of the union, others got reminded of Sridevi-Anil Kapoor and Urmila Matonkar starrer Judaai.

IMD said that by Wednesday morning, a cyclonic storm is likely to reach the west-central Bay of Bengal, close to the Andhra Pradesh coast. Meanwhile, Odisha and West Bengal are also bracing for the cyclonic storm’s wrath.
It is reported that 50 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been earmarked for Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal as cyclone Asani has intensified and is near the east coast with a wind speed of up to 105 kmph.
Ajay Bhalla, Union Home Secretary on Tuesday reviewed preparedness for the severe cyclone. As the cyclone Asani is approaching Andhra Pradesh, the weather forecasting department issued a red alert in East and West Godavari, Guntur Krishna, and Vishakhapatnam districts.
IMD on Wednesday morning said that Cyclone Asani was moving at a speed of 6 kmph during the past six hours over the west-central Bay of Bengal about 50 km south-southeast of Machilipatnam in Andhra Pradesh, 150 km southwest of Kakinada, 290 km southwest of Visakhapatnam, 530 km southwest of Gopalpur in Odisha and 640 km southwest of Odisha’s Puri Odisha.

The weather forecasting agency also informed that by May 12 morning the cyclonic storm is likely to weaken gradually into a depression. However, it is expected to move nearly northwards over the next few hours, then slowly recurve north-northeastwards along the coastlines of Narsapur, Yanam, Kakinada, Tuni, and Visakhapatnam from noon to dusk today, before emerging into the west-central Bay of Bengal off the coasts of North Andhra Pradesh by night.
Rough sea conditions, strong waves, and gusty winds are also witnessed at Puri beach in Odisha today. Hrushikesh Panda, in charge of the Puri MeT department, said that the waves are reported above normal with 30kmph wind speed in the morning and along with it Puri district reported 9mm rainfall last night.

According to the police, the deceased, Siva Kumar bought a new bike Boom Corbett14 on Friday, a day prior to the tragedy. The incident happened at Kumar’s home in Gulabi Thota around 3:30 am. Kumar had begun charging the battery at 10 pm before going to sleep, as said by NV Suryanarayana, station house officer of Suryaraopet police station in Vijayawada. According to him, the explosion caused a fire in the living room, and smoke quickly engulfed the area.
While Siva Kumar died in a tragedy, his wife Harathi who is 30 years old is critical as she sustained severe bleeding, and their children, Bindu Sri, 10 years old, and Sasi, 6 years old suffered 30 percent burns. All three of them have been shifted to a private hospital and kept under observation for 48 hours.
According to the police, Kumar had kept the detachable battery in his room before going to bed. The battery exploded and caused a fire in the house that spread to an air conditioner and other electronic items. The reports state that Kumar died of burns and suspected asphyxiation, while his wife and children’s condition is critical due to the inhalation of thick smoke.
Harathi’s sister has filed a complaint and on the basis of that, the police registered a case of death under suspicious circumstances invoking section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Earlier, a similar incident occurred in Chennai, Tamil Nadu when an 80-year-old man B Ramaswamy died after the battery of his son Prakash’s Pure EV scooter exploded in their living room in the early hours on Wednesday.
