Petrol, diesel prices today: Fuel rates increase by 30 paise, Rs 4-4.10 per litre hike in last seven days, check rates in your city
The price of petrol, diesel started surging on March 22 after a break of four months. Earlier, there was a pause in the surge in petrol, diesel prices since November 4, 2021.

Prices of petrol, diesel has surged yet again and this time the rates have been hiked by 30 paise per litre. With this, the total increase in rates of petrol, diesel prices in the last 7 days in total to Rs 4-4.10 per litre. The price of diesel has been surged by 35 paise per litre.
In Delhi, petrol is currently being sold at Rs 99.11 per litre and diesel is being sold at 90.42 per litre.
In Chennai, the petrol, diesel price is Rs 105.19 and Rs 95.33 per litre. In Kolkata, the revised rate of petrol, diesel is Rs 108.85 and diesel is Rs 93.92 respectively. In Bengaluru, the price of petrol, diesel is Rs 104,78 and 89.02 per litre.
In Mumbai, there is a hike of 31 paise and 37 paise for petrol and diesel respectively. No,w the people in Mumbai need to pay Rs 114.10 and Rs 98.50 for petrol and diesel respectively.

It is expected that the rates of petrol and diesel will increase further owing to the sharp jump in crude oil prices in the international markets. This surge is going to have a cascading impact on the pocket of the common man.

The University of Delhi on Saturday announced the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) election results. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) won three out of four central panel posts in the elections while the National Students Union (NSUI) bagged the Vice-President Post.
Tushar Dedha from the ABVP has secured the President post whereas the Vice President post has been won by Abhi Dahiya of NSUI. Aparajita, an ABVP candidate won the Secretary post in the DUSU elections. Sachin Baisla from ABVP has won the panel post of Joint Secretary.
ABVP supporters celebrated the win as their organisation won three central panel posts in Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections.

PM Modi lays foundation stone of International Cricket Stadium in Varanasi, Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, others present on occasion
Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri among others were present on the occasion.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 23 laid the foundation stone of the International Cricket Stadium in Varanasi’s Ganjari, Uttar Pradesh.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present for the occasion in Varanasi.
Varanasi, PM Modi’s parliamentary constituency also witnessed big names from the cricket fraternity on the occasion. The names include Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Ravi Shastri, Sunil Gavaskar, Dilip Vengsarkar, Madan Lal, Gundappa Viswanath, and Gopal Sharma.
Roger Binny, BCCI President and Vice President Rajiv Shukla and Secretary Jay Shah were also present for the event in eastern Uttar Pradesh.

The Varanasi International Cricket Stadium is a step towards realising PM Modi’s vision to develop a modern and world-class sports infrastructure.

As per the reports, the International Cricket Stadium will be built in Ganjari, Rajatalab. This will be developed at the cost of Rs 450 crore and will be in more than 30 acres of area.
It has been revealed that the world-class stadium will take inspiration from Lord Shiva for its thematic architecture. The designs will be developed for crescent-shaped roof covers, trident-shaped floodlights and ghat steps-based seating arrangements for the attendees.
According to the government statement, the total capacity of the stadium to accommodate people will be 30,000 spectators.

To provide the best quality education, 16 Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya, which is basically built for the children of labourers, construction workers and those orphaned due to the Covid-19 pandemic, was also inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The project has been developed at the cost of Rs 1,100 crore with an aim to make quality education accessible for these children and support their holistic development.

Earlier in May this year, Rahul Gandhi took a joyride on a delivery boy’s scooter in Bengaluru as he hopped in the man’s two-wheeler and rode pillion.
In a video that was widely shared on the internet, the Gandhi scion, who was campaigning for the Congress ahead of the May 10 elections in Karnataka, was seen surrounded by a large crowd of supporters and party workers in the heart of Bengaluru city.
The former Wayanad MP then stops to console a little boy who apparently became emotional after meeting Gandhi and in the meantime a delivery man stops near the Congress leader as he’s comforting the kid.
Then, in the spur of the moment, Rahul Gandhi hops on the man’s scooter and puts on a helmet as the two slowly ride through the swarm of the leader’s supporters.
According to reports, Rahul Gandhi rode a pillion with the delivery agent for nearly 2 kms before he dropped the former Congress chief at his hotel.
The videos of Rahul Gandhi’s spontaneous scooter ride with the delivery agent went viral on social media with users appreciating the Congress scion’s down-to-earth style of connecting with people.
In another video, Rahul was also seen with the truck drivers on foreign soil and rode from Washington DC to New York with truck driver Taljinder Singh. During the 190-km long journey, the Congress leader and the truck driver exchanged their views regarding the working conditions of Indian and American truck drivers.
