Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a webinar on Monday, in which he talked about how the Union Budget 2022 will positively impact the education sector. The objective of the webinar was to bring together professionals from the public and private sectors, academia, and business to explore solutions for moving forward with diverse concerns across sectors.

Young generation is the future of India
In his speech, PM Modi referred to the young generation as the future of India. He said that the young generation is the future leader of the country and so empowering today’s young generation means empowering India’s future.
National Education Policy and National Digital University
He also adressed the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP). He said that the budget will help in implementing NEP. Furthermore, he said that National Digital University is an unprecedented step and that the problem of shortage of seats can be resolved. He added that there will be unlimited seats and urged all stakeholders to ensure digital university starts as soon as possible.
Five key areas of focus in Union Budget 2022
Prime Minister Modi further stated that this year’s Budget was focused on the education sector’s critical five areas. Universalization of high-quality education, skill development, urban planning and design, internationalisation, and the animation, visual effects, gaming, and comics (AVGC) industry is among them.
Digital connectivity saved the education sector
PM Modi stated that at this time of the global pandemic, the digital connection is what has kept the education system alive. He went on to say that the digital divide in India is fast narrowing and that innovation is securing our inclusion.

One Class One Channel, Digital Labs, Digital University
The Prime Minister stated that educational infrastructure like as e-Vidya, One Class One Channel, Digital Labs, and Digital University will greatly benefit the youngsters. This is an endeavour to give better educational solutions to all people in India’s socioeconomic system, whether they live in rural, are poor, Dalit, backward, or tribal.
He added that the government is focusing on establishing sign language instructional content to help divyang (specially-abled) pupils. He went on to say that the government has chosen to create the Digital Ecosystem for Skilling and Livelihood in order to skill, reskill, and upskill students through online training (DESH-stack e-portal).
