The state government has planned to cover the remaining houses through additional sources of funds, including funds from the North Eastern Region Development Department. Funded from an external fund, the project is designed to provide domestic tap connections in 25 towns and 1,731 rural settlements, covering 2,80,756 homes in 16 districts of the Greater Imphal Planning Area.
Prime Minister Modi said, “Along with roadways, highways, airways, waterways and evacues, the modern infrastructure of gas pipeline is also being laid in the North East. Thousands of crores of rupees have been invested in the entire North East infrastructure in the last 6 years. ‘

Liquor policy case: ED raids AAP MP Sanjay Singh’s Delhi’s residence

One of the case’s approvers, the businessman Dinesh Arora, alleged that Singh had introduced him to Sisodia, the excise minister at the time.

The CBI claims that the excise policy, which would have generated a 12% profit for the companies, was drafted with the involvement of the alcohol industry. The Bihar government released the findings of its caste census. According to the survey extremely Backward classes (EBC’s) and other backward classes (OBC’s) constitute 63 percent of total population of Bihar. The Congress party has promised a caste based census in the country if it came to power at the Centre.

India-Canada ties: India asks Canada to withdraw 40 diplomats by October 10
Canada has currently a total of 62 diplomats in India. New Delhi has instructed Canada to decrease the number to 41 at their high commission.

Ottawa expelled an Indian official over the case. India in response expelled a Canadian diplomat. Visa services were also expelled by the Indian government for Canadian citizens.
