Parliament: Uproar in both the Houses over Tawang clash, opposition seeks discussion
The parliamentary panel has suggested changes in the Competition Law Amendment Bill.

Today is the 7th working day of the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament from December 7. Huge uproar was seen in both the houses over the confrontation with China, Several leaders, including Congress MP Manish Tewari, have given Adjournment Motion Notice in the Lok Sabha on the issue.
On the issue of the skirmish between the soldiers of India and China, the ruckus of the opposition is going on again in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. All MPs are stressing on the demand for discussion on the matter. Moreover, opposition leaders had a meeting in the chamber of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Khajge to chalk out a joint strategy on the India-China dispute and other issues.
Opposition also questioned Modi government, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that why has India’s dependence on Chinese imports increased despite the ongoing border conflict with China?
Apart from this, the parliamentary panel has suggested changes in the Competition Law Amendment Bill too.

Congress urges External Affairs Minister Jaishankar to take up Indira Gandhi assassination float with Canada
When the Foreign Minister was asked at a press conference, Jaishankar said, there was an issue about space which is given to extremists, separatists, and people who advocate violence.

The Congress on Thursday urged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to take up strongly with the Canadian authorities, a float depicting the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in a parade in Brampton, Canada.
When the Foreign Minister was asked at a press conference, Jaishankar said, there was an issue about space that is given to extremists, separatists, and people who advocate violence.
Jaishankar said he failed to understand why someone would do such a thing. He cited it as a clear case of vote bank politics. Condemning the incident, he said this was a clear issue of providing space to separatists, extremists, and to people who advocate violence. He further added it is not good for Canada and its relationship with India.
The Canadian High Commissioner of India Cameron Mackay said he was shocked by the news of the event that celebrated the assassination of Indira Gandhi in his country. He further added, there is no place for hate or violence or act of glorification of violence in Canada, and he strongly condemned these activities.
Congress leader Milind Deora shared the video on Twitter, which showed a float depicting Gandhi’s assassination in a recent parade held in Brampton, Canada. He wrote, as an Indian, he was shocked seeing the video, the 5-km long parade portraying Gandhi’s killing.
Shashi Tharoor supported Deora and said he was completely right and such activities should be condemned with no politics involved.
Twitter users slamming the incident wrote it to be horrifying and painful. These things happening under the leadership of Justin Trudeau are shameful. A user said this was the force of hatred against which Rahul Gandhi has to fight. Another said, this to be really sad and the BJP government should take it up with the Canadian government.

Stuck inside 300 feet borewell, 2.5-year-old Madhya Pradesh girl dies after being rescued
On Tuesday, at around 2:45 PM, Srishti while playing in the neighbour’s field, fell inside the borewell which was lying open. The rescue operation which went on for entire two days, finally ended today, the girl was pulled out in a critical condition, who later succumbed to her injuries.

On Thursday, after rescue efforts of more than 40 hours, the 2.5-year-old girl who fell inside a 300-feet deep borewell in Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore died after was rescued in an unconscious state.
On Tuesday, at around 2:45 PM, Srishti while playing in the neighbour’s field, fell inside the borewell which was lying open. The rescue operation which went on for entire two days, finally ended today, the girl was pulled out in a critical condition, who later succumbed to her injuries.
A borewell rescue robot team had also arrived at the spot in the morning to save the girl.
The administration on Tuesday, was immediately informed after which officials rushed to the spot to undertake the rescue operation, which is in continuation since then.
The incident took place in Mungaoli Village in Sehore, MP.
As per the Sehore District Collector, Srishti was stuck at a depth of 20-feet but slid down further 50-feet as the efforts for her rescue continued. While reports said, she slid further down and wasstuck at 110-feet.
The Army, NDRF and SDRF teams were in force since Tuesday, for pulling Srishti out.
A team of experts from Rajasthan and Delhi were also called to help out in the operation to save the girl.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan who belongs to the same district, had also taken stock of the situation and had directed for Srishti’s safe evacuation.
Srishti was the daughter of Rahul Kushwaha and Rani Kushwaha. Oxygen was sent down the borewell with the help of a pipe on Tuesday. Cameras were also sent inside to monitor the situation.
Ambulance along with a team of doctors were on stand-by at the spot.
Rani said, about 50 m away from the house, their neighbor Nannu Lal had dug a borewell about three months ago but it was a failed attempt and the hole was left unattended.
In a similar incident, 4 days back a 2-year-old girl in Gujarat’s Jamnagar fell inside a 200 feet-deep borewell, who was pulled out after a massive operation of 19 hours but was declared dead.

The Punjab government is set to hold its 2nd cabinet meeting in Mansa on June 10 as a part of its Sarkar Tuhade Dwar programme.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today tweeted, saying in fulfilling the promise the state government is going to hold its second-cabinet meeting in Mansa on June 10 at 12 pm under the Sarkar Tuhade Dwar programme.
Mann has also said, some major issues will be discussed during the meeting.
The Sarkar Tuhade Dwar, is a recent imitative of the Punjab government, under which it plans to hold cabinet meetings across various assembly constituencies in the state discussing various issues and developmental works concerned to the region.
CM Mann introduced the people friendly imitative in Dhiru assembly constituency on May 11 with a motive to take the governance to the doorsteps of the people of the state.
Mann during the launch said this move will lead to a revolution of the entire governance system by providing services that will be entirely citizen centric at their doorsteps.
Mann also had said the initiative is to make the bureaucracy directly accountable to the state citizens.
Mann had also said, it to be a game-changing step that will ensure implementation of various developmental and welfare schemes without any delay.
In the Dhuri cabinet meeting, the CM announced various developmental works such as the up-gradation of healthcare facilities in the state with ultra modern infrastructure, urged farmers to prevent from agitations without valid reasons.
Mann also announced proper arrangements for proper electricity supply for the paddy season.
Some other decision related to coal reserves, farmer benefits and others were also announced.
The initiative of the Punjab government is being seen as a path-breaking initiative towards making the government more accountable to the people of Punjab.
